Forza Horizon 6

If you preordered Forza Horizon 6 on Steam, you can now download the game ahead of its launch on May 19. Playground Games announced on its X that the upcoming open-world racing game is now up for download, giving those with slower internet plenty of time to download everything.

And players indeed have plenty to download. Forza Horizon 6 is the biggest game in the series, both in scale and file size. On PC, you need at least 160 GB of free space, while the console version requires around 130 GB. If you want to purchase the game, check out the hardware requirements here. While Forza Horizon games have always been well-optimized, the sixth installment requires quite beefy hardware if you want to play in high resolution with ray tracing enabled.

Also, if you have a PC with an NVIDIA graphics card, download the latest driver with Forza Horizon 6 optimizations and DLSS multi-frame generation support here. AMD and Intel are expected to release their respective drivers in the coming days.

Forza Horizon 6 is now available for download in the Microsoft Store (PC and consoles) and Steam. This follows the recent news about the unfortunate leak, which allowed pirates to crack the game ahead of its launch. Playground Games quickly acknowledged the leak and said that everyone who pirates the leaked files would be banned. Interestingly, the same thing happened to Subnautica 2, another long-anticipated game.
