Galaxy S3 teaser shown at CES (possibly)

This is the alleged Galaxy S3:

Some say that this is a mockup created by a fan and not an actual pic of the product, however, look what was shown in one of Samsung's videos shown at CES:

Samsung CES 2012 Press Conference: Pushing Boundaries - YouTube (fast forward to 7:12)

Here it is for you lazy people:

What do you think? :p

There's a slight difference in that the device shown in the video has a home button, but I'm sure most phones go through multiple revisions before one is finally settled on, and the bezel on the phone in the video is way too thin to be an S2.

All of the above links were posted in this thread on XDA so credits to all involved.

The buzz compared with the next iphone is hardly noticeable. Like you said, the 2 designs presented are very diferent i think.

It looks alot like the iPhone 5 concept phone that showed up even before 4S came out.

I would bet on fake but even worse cause its a fake without imagination :) it copied the 'fakeness' on iphone lol

It looks very similar to the device shown in the video by Samsung, and that device doesn't look like any of samsungs current smartphones, so it could be the next galaxy s.

This post isn't about the iPhone so I'm not sure why you mentioned it.

What the picture or the one in the video by samsung?

The video.

The answer is simply no, whatever they showed in the video is probably not the S3 and more like a photoshopped/stretched out S2. OP does have a point that the bezel is definitely thinner and screen is larger as well, but it would ridiculous for Samsung to stick with the dedicated buttons at the bottom when ICS is designed to have them on screen. I expect the S3 will be similar to Nexus in at least some ways. Do a quick search and you will find at least some of the confirmed specs like a 1.8ghz dual core processor and 4.6" screen.

Got a source for the confirmed specs? The rumours I've seen point to a 2ghz quad core processor which is more fitting considering every galaxy s phone has been a powerhouse and way ahead of everything else at the time of release.

You might have a point about the hardware buttons, but google doesn't dictate that a phone can't have them as far as I know so it's a possibility.

There are several reasons it is fake. Low quality image, rough sides (especially in first image, in the side pose). And the interface. That horrible horrible circle. :s

Even though I posted the pic, it's more the video I'm interested in :p

It has some differences to a galaxy note (thinner bezel, more square home button, no Samsung logo) .. Quite confident it's not an existing device.
