I wouldn't normally do this but it is apparently needed and coincidentally it fits with the topic at hand :p

?You?re? is always a contraction of ?you are.? If you?ve written ?you?re,? try substituting ?you are.? If it doesn?t work, the word you want is ?your.?

Unless you're talking about movement about the left/right axis in which case your word is spelt, "yaw".

To be honest, at this point, I'm just laughing out loud over the fact that this argument has broken down into semantics over what "a few" consists of, as well as the precise definition of "the resulting mass"*. A couple dozen trailers then, if it makes you feel better. :) Oh, and as for "mass":

http://dictionary.re...com/browse/mass

Mass - noun - a body of coherent matter, usually of indefinite shape and often of considerable size: a mass of dough.

I guess you assumed I was talking about the scientific mass, but that's the wonderful thing about English, huh? It has lots of definitions for even one word, and understanding someone's message often requires a certain degree of benefit of the doubt, as well as a bit of intelligence. I also explained it as "fitting into trailers" which would imply volume. ;)

See? I can split hairs too.

This is just too funny. No you can't split hairs.Trying to rather badly wriggle out of being wrong isn't splitting hairs.

So you are talking about a set volume of gold, a cube with a side of 20m. This has a clearly defined density and mass but you used the word mass in the sense of it meaning an indefinite shape. You then say that this indefinite shape can fit into a few 18 wheelers. Indefinite .... apart from all that definition of it.

If you are going to talk about applying "intelligence" to statements. You may want to read back on my original post about your fact.(googling Simon Gruber would help) and see exactly what you started arguing with.

Ok we can get a final fact now.

If you somehow managed to acquire every single ounce of gold present in our earth, and melted it all down, you'd be able to fit the resulting volume into just over two dozen 18-wheeler trailers.

People fart on average, 50 times a day.

and they smell worse in the shower :p but I already said that hehe

Dogs and Apes are the only animals that understand "pointing".

Dogs read human faces for emotions, scanning them the same way we scan each others face to determine the emotion.

I'll say it imageboard-style:

SAUCE?

Glassed Silver:mac

You may not know, but I am confused.... :p

Sauce meaning "source" ;)

i fart A LOT and i dont think it totals 50... that seems like way too much for an average person

I actually didn't want to jump on the fart discussion bandwagon, but oh well:

most farts are the ones you don't notice.

You don't actually smell them and you don't hear them. Think of them as "mini flatulences".

WWE is fake. Storylines are planned and scripted.

NOOOOOOOOOO IT CAN'T BE TRUE!!!!! :p

'S what I said, but you certainly fixed it up for me and made it much more technical, so thanks! Sorry that my "layman" terminology got your panties up into a bunch dude.

White Out Liquid Paper costs $738 per gallon ($4.29 for 22ml bottle). No more bitching about gas prices!

I will stop bitching about gas prices as soon as my car runs on WhiteOut. (Y)

    • Remarkably based article from Garter - apparently there IS someone working there that actually understands mainframe systems.
