Michael Jackson worked on the soundtrack for Sonic 3. He didn't want his name attached as he was unhappy with the capabilities of the Mega Drive / Genesis sound chip (many people think his name wasn't on it due to the child abuse allegations and Sega wanted to distance themselves from Michael Jackson).

Uh... this is already the case. :p

What we have there now is a tidal lock - only Moon faces Earth always with the same side. My obscurely worded thing back there would mean that orbits of both are perfectly synchronized, e.g., America wouldn't see Moon ever again, it'd be hanging over Europe eternally (or vice versa, depending on your fantasy preference) ;)

Allergy to cats isn't in fact to cats nor their hair, it's to a protein in the cat's saliva that some people are allergic to. After cats lick themselves saliva dries up, many particles fly in the air and allergic people inhale them.

little known fact: USA is that is NOT America... America is made up 35 independent countries. Don't know if they teach this in the US or not...

example: France is not Europe

America = USA is pretty common place. Anyone to specify different is just arguing semantics. This is the case internationally. To further strengthen my point, what I said was quoted from another source.

FACT: USA is still NOT America no matter what any source tries to say. Get over it.

Also, instead of going ?! or !? you should use an interrobang: ? - a handy combination of both

I think that one is a bit misleading. The interrobang is a non-standard form of punctuation, and while it has been around for a while it is still considered proper to use "?!"

The octothorpe character itself stems from a yester year mapping symbol. The symbol has 9 'cells' with 'octo' meaning 8. The 9th and centre cell represents the 'thorpe' - an old name for a small village. So literally translated the symbol represents a village (thorpe) surrounded by 8 something?s. In the case of the map makers the cells were usually agriculturally productive fields. So we get octothorpe; a small village surrounded by 8 fields.

There is a town in Austria named "F**king".

The wikipedia link has the full name, so I can't post it here.

Edit: Apparently the street sign is frequently stolen.

The village is known to have existed as ?F**king? since at least 1070 and is named after a man from the 6th century called Focko. ?Ing? is an old Germanic suffix meaning ?people?; thus F**king, in this case, means ?place of Focko?s people?.

Coincidentally there are two small municipalities just over the border in Bavaria, Germany called Petting and Kissing.

But better yet, there is a Town called Killawog. Location: Broome County, NY

Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the company is planning to increase the prices of some of its products due to the ongoing memory and storage shortages. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cook confirmed the looming price hikes for Apple’s future products, adding that “Unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable.” He also said the company is doing its best to “mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we’ve been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable.” The Apple CEO also noted that the allocation of a large portion of memory chips to AI companies has contributed to shortages in the market, resulting in lower supply at a time when demand for devices remains high. “We definitely need memory pricing and supply to return to reasonable levels for consumer products. That’s the bottom line,” Cook said. Cook also added that Apple is ready to use its vast cash reserves to help boost supply in the market because additional production capacity is needed. While he declined to specify how Apple plans to do that, he said the company will not build its own memory and storage factories despite its financial resources and silicon expertise. Cook did not provide further details on the scale of the price increases or which Apple products would be affected, though iPads and Macs could see higher prices sooner than other products. Apple’s next product launch event is scheduled for September, when the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone. It remains unclear whether the upcoming iPhones will be affected by the price increases, but given the current memory shortage, higher prices seem increasingly likely. There is currently no clear timeline for the end of the memory shortage. Samsung, one of the world’s three largest memory chip manufacturers, recently said the shortage could persist for several more years.

      +1000 to this, don't understand why they added that margin around the top bar, even the close button is a PITA to click without aiming. Ofc, this is just preview and hopefully they will revert such odd UX decision before hitting final version.
