I love those pictures of her the night before. They took hundreds of photos of her and they show off the ones where she looks like she's stoned. Love the media. Take enough photos of anyone and you'll catch them with their eyes half open or making a dopey face.

Was never a fan of her, and not a fan of drug use, but it's really not her fault she was an addict. She tried to get help, she just wasn't strong enough/the people around her weren't supportive enough.

@ Amarok - Yes it was her fault, unless she was forced by someone.

I'm pretty sure that by now most of the people that are paying attention realize that it's Bobby Brown's fault that she was an addict. She did try to get help and I'm not going to pass judgment on her. Once a person is hooked they're hooked.

RIP.

IMO there should be a clause in their contracts that if they use drugs or drink excessively they cannot work, maybe that will straighten them up a bit. mandatory drug screens FTW!

Problem with that, is a lot of artists do some of their best writing, have their peak in writing when they're out of it. And most of them can perform pretty well if they do it enough. And really how are they gonna keep track? Hire a babysitter to travel with them and keep track of everything they do?

monthly mandatory drug and alcohol screenings. these "artists" are nothing but bad role models for our children. not to mention the alarming rate of divorces in hollywood. ive been saying this for years.

A week ago no one cared about Houston and how she was. Now everyone is "Oh no, what a tragedy", why didn't anyone do anything!

There isn't big enough a facepalm in existence that I could link here.

See that the idiots are out in force. Couple of good examples here of people that are probably ignored in real life as they have no redeeming qualities or anything interesting to say so have to resort to being total arses on forums to gain some attention. Rather pathetic, but every forum has a sad few.

Because most of the time, you can't help someone who doesn't want the help. She chose to live the lifestyle she did. Personal responsibility.

It's too bad she apparently fell asleep in the tub after taking Xanax, but I suppose it's a risk you take when you ingest something like that, especially mixed with alcohol.

In her time, she had remarkable talent.

You know, there's a guy on Twitter with a good million followers that said EXACTLY the same thing as I just posted a few posts up. I guess he's a "neglected and ignored person" in real life.

The point is, people who didn't give a damn ass about a celebrity before, suddenly gain a massive amount of admiration and completely forget the fact that they essentially killed themselves out of sheer stupidity. Yes, every death is a tragedy, however it doesn't make the person a saint.

I can admire her qualities as a singer but as a person she was clearly a failure - someone who used drugs and ended up paying the ultimate price for it.

You know what? I grew up supporting a lot of artists who were into heavy drugs and the most I've done is pot. There's always gonna be bad role models in the media though. If you have a brain, you learn quickly what not to do. And come on what does divorce have to do with it? 90% of my family has been divorced, didnt mean nothing to me

You know, I am not denying Bobby Brown had a huge role in making her the drug addict she was, but people do realize they have been divorced now for quite a few years do they not?

To blame this on him seems pretty crazy to me. He has not been an official part of her life as the husband role for years. She still chose to do the drugs when he was gone. Even if he is responsible for introducing her to them, he was not responsible for making her still do them.

I partly agree. However, they way most see it is that he introduced her. And for a drug like cocaine, it's hard to just quit. Once you start, youre hooked.

What a shame and waste of talent. Not very often you find someone with such a remarkable voice like her.

I blame Bobby Brown. If it wasn't for him, she would've probably been up there with people like Aretha Franklin.

I just hope that she's now free and resting peacefully. Hopefully she's up there chilling with all the other legends!

    • Password Safe 3.72.0 by Razvan Serea Password Safe is a password database utility. Like many other such products, commercial and otherwise, it stores your passwords in an encrypted file, allowing you to remember only one password (the "safe combination"), instead of all the username/password combinations that you use. Once stored, your user names and passwords are just a few clicks away. Using Password Safe you can organize your passwords using your own customizable references—for example, by user ID, category, web site, or location. You can choose to store all your passwords in a single encrypted master password list (an encrypted password database), or use multiple databases to further organize your passwords (work and home, for example). And with its intuitive interface you will be up and running in minutes. PasswordSafe was originally designed by the renowned security technologist Bruce Schneier and released as a free utility application. Password Safe 3.72.0 changelog: Fixed bugs Improved font scale handling - should resolve font size issues on high resolution displays. • I've got a SoundBlasterX G6 that I use in my streaming setup. Sounds great to me and I've had zero issues with the ancient software package so far in Win11. That G6 has 7.1, Dolby, fully working SPDIF and since it's a USB device it's outside of my rig so I don't have to worry about EMF distortion. Looks like for now this is a pass for me as I think I have better hardware....
