[Urgent] Help me solve a server crash

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 and every so often it keeps blue screening. It is a virtual machine running on a Dedicated Server I have which is running Citrix XenServer. I have a crash dump file I have uploaded but not sure how to analyse it, Could someone look at it and tell me why its blue screening?

Its happened 4 times now. I have noticed if I uninstall Citrix Xen Tools from the Server the crash goes away, but I need Citrix Xen Tools because it improves speed on the virtual server as it may have some required drivers needed with Citrix.

Could someone analyse the dump file attached and let me know what is causing it? I could maybe then report it to Citrix or find a fix myself, or if anyone knows how to fix this issue let me know much appreciated!

Matt.

The issue is caused by xenutil.sys. Can't say much else, haven't used Xen much, and not at all recently.

There is a recent KB describing a BSOD crash along with resolution. May or may not pertain to you.
