not long upgraded to mlion :) but the notification centre to get notified on emails does mail app have to be open to recieve them??

as ive neva had anything show but tweets work no probs and mail does not seem to come through it ??

and as other posters have said i have no sound of incoming tweets or mails unless mail app is open then i do and sending tweets through it i get a sound ??

Is that based on you trying the iOS 6 beta?

Yes, on both my iPad & iPhone. I've had several conversations that either never appear entirely, or only parts of the message appear on the other devices. I've been chalking it up to the fact that it is an issue with the beta.

does mail app have to be open to recieve them??

the mail app does need to be running in order for it to sync and receive emails (obviously), you can close the window though as it will continue to run in the background (like most other mac apps when you only close the window)

Damn, they did something with a dock, because sometimes it without my will turn on from autohide :< I put it alwayes in autohide mode and never (since leopard) had got any problem - now from time to time dock made himself visible "just because". And I have to right-click and choose "autohide" again -.-. Damn!

Download the Facebook Developer Preview like I did. It?s 400KB, it?s only an enabler.

But it doesn?t really get me the notification banners I checked :(

The Facebook DP never worked properly for me, so I don't think I'll be installing that one again.

Really wish I either waited until they released an update or two, or did a clean install (for the first time ever, again, never had any issues prior with just updating).

I am having a multitude of issues, some of the larger ones being...

Macbook has restarted itself twice now with an error report. I did not really bother trying to make sense of it.

I can no longer see my NAS device (Synology DS211j) under Shared, and can only connect to it via IP, typing it's host name no longer works. I also used to automatically mount it on startup, no such luck anymore. Fails to find server even though it is there. Synology does not have any updates yet for the DSM software.

Speaking of Network issues, it drops connection to my WiFi network sporadically.

Oh yeah, AirPlay no longer sees my Apple TV as a device, even if I restart it, restart the computer, etc. I already did the AirPlay mirroring on Day 01, so it once did work.

Network connected printer is also hit or miss, even with latest software from HP.

So yeah, running theme here is everything network related seems really screwed up.

I am also experiencing intermittent freezing just doing normal things as well.

Going to wait and see if the first major update does anything, but I am not holding my breath. Looks like I need to do a clean install sooner than later.

Why can't I share videos to YouTube? I don't use Vimeo.

However, Vimeo does have better video quality. Only gripe is you can upload only 1HD video per week, others will get downscaled. (until you become a premium member)

Thats fail! Plus Vimeo has a tiny user base compared with YT.

Just a follow up, I'm unable to download XCode 4.4 because my version of OS X is too new.... well, erm, no it's not!!!

Just admit it CPressland; you're secretly running OS X 10.9, refusing to tell and provide us with screen shots. Man you're lame!

I did the upgrade over my Lion install and so far haven't had any breaking issues. Would like to start seeing some of my iOS apps coming to OS X (MLB At Bat, ESPN, Facebook, etc) because at this point notifications seem pointless. Almost everything is done through the web.

I managed to install XCode 4.4 on top of my old XCode 4.4 (that was downloaded from the member center)

This is what I've ended up doing.

Oh no! You've figured me out! Apple will think I've broken the pact of secrecy now?!

Google Chrome just got updated with native Retina Support - but the framerates when scrolling on Web Pages still sucks, hopefully this is something that can be improved.

Pairing is one tap and zero typing: the generated WebUI password is now copyable, and the QR code carries the credentials — scanning it from your phone logs straight in (no typing the IP or password), then drops the credentials from the address bar. Search Two new providers: RuTor (CIS sources, no login, via a public TorAPI relay) and Torrents-CSV. Results are sorted by seeders (healthiest first), and each search now times out after 15 s so one dead provider can't hang the UI. Files & trackers Per-file priority is back: right-click a file in the detail panel to set Skip / Low / Normal / High. Rename an individual file inside a torrent (double-click or the file menu), separate from renaming the torrent. Remove a tracker from a torrent (the ✕ on a tracker row); adding was already there. Smart Paste on Ctrl+V — paste a magnet, a 40-char info-hash, or a .torrent URL straight from the clipboard and it's added immediately (text fields still paste text normally). Covers & titles Anime fansub naming ([Group] Title - NN) now resolves to the right show. Audio channel layouts in titles (DDP5.1, 7.1, …) are stripped so they don't pollute cover matching. Under the hood The legacy QWidget interface is gone. QML had been the only UI since 3.0.0 (reachable old code lived behind a hidden --legacy flag); with parity confirmed, the entire QWidget layer — main window, every dialog, the theme manager — was removed (~13,400 lines). The four restored actions above were features that backend already supported but the QML port had never wired. macOS: the WebUI password hash moved out of the keychain into app settings, so launching the app no longer pops a login-keychain password prompt on unsigned builds. The actual password still lives in the keychain. Cleanup: ~400 orphaned translation strings and a batch of dead code removed; internal duplication collapsed; an ARCHITECTURE.md added for contributors. Unit / security / memory tests and the ASan/UBSan/TSan sanitizers stay green.       This doesn't strike me as so shocking when... " IT admins do have some control over this rollout. If they choose to opt out, devices in their tenant won't automatically get the dreaded Copilot app"
