No, not at all. I like Segoe UI font and its WP variation. But that cross thing there reminds me more of the flag of Finland (or Denmark... Sweden or Norway). I was comfortable enough with the usual flag with removed shading, glow and crap, on a dark background, as seen in the Developer Preview. I had hoped it will stay there. :(

* the f* happens to DeviantArt links? And then people wonder why their artwork gets stolen. Can't link to it in a normal manner, that's why... /rant

No that's a logo I like?

No that's a logo I like?

Or Scotland, is what I thought of.

I just don't like the slant of the window, it looks weird the more I look at it. Straighten out the window, maybe even take advantage of some o'that fancy rendering and make some shiny lines on it, and it would be good.

its a nice simple idea.

But... i dont like how its made.

I believe they can actually go with something dynamic. A dynamic logo.

In the sense... To use on start buttons on tablets. The logo will have a head on view. No scewed perspective. But if placed next to the Windows text. It should have this perspective.

And the other way for the charms menu.

In a way. Make the logo 4 dynamic live tiles. But then again .. they will be needing a static one for paper.

i edited it to the one in the middle.

Which i believe renders the tiles or window glass as square and not rectangular.

I love it! I've always disliked the idea of the four different colours in one logo, but I love this new idea of the colour changing depending on how the user has personalised their operating system?I thought that would be a good idea when I first saw the different coloured logos they used for Windows Phone; however, I love this idea more because the entire logo is filled with that one colour the user has chosen. I am looking forward to seeing how they demonstrate different colours while marketing.

In regard to the shape of the icon used?I love that, too! It screams "Metro!" It looks like four tiles on the Windows Start Screen, it looks like a window, and it effectively captures the motion and feel of the tiles.

This is a brilliant design, and it has reignited my excitement for the Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

Zain -- MEGA like the top middle one.

thanks !! :D well you see in my logo the tiles look like squares. Not rectangles. Thats my biggest grip with the Windows logo. Also i think a lighter weight text looks better. Looks sleeker. Anyways..

Now what do i do will all my stuff with the flag logo ? :p

1. Send it to MS and tell them you've fixed it. Obviously, working many hours without breaking sweat like, no doubt, the design agency that made the official one, would like to claim.

2. ???

3. Profit!

Why is that your biggest gripe? Many of the tiles on the Start Screen are rectangular, which is why I'm glad Microsoft went for this idea.

    • Well again I do not mind seeing it charge my stuff if it does it well. "yeah charge my phone like that, charge it good"
    • Getting so tired of this push for that new useless slop over the less-useless old slop that at this point I just want M$ to have this nice, big, hearty cup of *FU*.

With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. • Thanks Microsoft but no, I find both iterations of Outlook terrible nowadays and switched back to Thunderbird at home.
