Raspberry-Pi sells out in minutes

What's the point of these again? Bragging rights?

Kiosk machines, dedicated media boxes, art installations (I will use a couple for this), micro machines for light browsing and email reading (Think of the elderly), etc.

My boss alerted me to the RasPi's existence and I'm very excited. I'm definitely starting by testing OpenELEC on mine once I get it, and if it works well I'm buying another one as soon as possible to build a NAS. At that price, I'll probably end up buying ten or so just to play around with or to make some useful little appliance from. It'll be very interesting to see how well MAME and other emulators perform on this, it'd make a great base component for an arcade cabinet.

Everybody who was lucky enough to get an order in, should be getting their emails today telling them when they will be delivered. (UK)

The one i ordered will supposedly arrive on the week commencing 07/05/2012. Quite a big leap in expected dates though. My brother ordered one about 2 hours after me and his expected date is the 21/05/2012.

Still glad that i'll finally be able to get one.
