grrrr.... I was wating on a drive enclosure for the other HDD I stole out of a spare pc and its not gonna be here today nooooooooo!!!

must clear some disk space but meh! it will take all day to just clear 20GB that will be so hard... :-(

the ESD just for upgrades?? is that official?

coz then ill cancel the download.. i want to install it fresh from a CD.

I'm downloading both (the ESD download is fast as blazes...) - however, I'll be using the ESD strictly in VM-based upgrade testing for now.

I'm creating my first test VM as I type this (WDP->WCP).

The next two (7 Ultimate and 7 Home Premium) will follow after seeing what the first one does.

ISO links (with product key - yes, it needs one) are up above (thanks, ynot_m). No snailage in the ISO download either (even with he ESD download in parallel).

...just how much bandwidth does MS have? :s

CDN - :) Akamai which is one of the backbones is footing this so yeah they are golden. They can max probably a good 50,000 connections at the same time easiliy!

2minutes left for my x64bit download!

I'm getting 3.3 - 4MB/sec..

The live coverage at Engadget and TheVerge is really showing off how they listened to the community. new gestures, new task management and polished visuals look excellent. can't wait for this bad boy to finish downloading

They contracted for extra - primarily with Team Akamai (http://www.akamai.com).

It was mentioned that these things need keys, yet Microsoft mentioned nothing about keys anywhere.

Doh, there they are.
