This has always been a tech news site and babes has never had anything to do with it, however it's been here as long as I can remember. Why the sudden change of mind ? Months ago I tried to post a little humor about the late, and not lamented taleban only to have it removed becuase it was offensive to minorities despite them killing over 5000 americans. Yet at the same time soft porn was allowed to be posted at will. I'm glad its gone, there is a place for that crap and its not on a tech website. To say a computer forum shouldn't allow that IS SAYING a movie forum shouldn't talk about computers. I got a problem with that, because forums is about people coming together sharing the same Interests, and making friends. Therefore, it is RUDE to tell people goto a computer forum if they were discussing it on a movie forum. Why would 12 year olds be reading a Windows tech site to begin with? And there's a disclaimer when you signup for an account here anyway... I dont think neowin was turning into a porn site... there was ONE babes section that was monitored constantly, and you had to willingly go to that link in the forums to see the pics. These forums have a focus and the babes forum was far outside of that focus. If you want to see pictures of babes, visit the many other sites that you pulled all those pictures of yours from. :D Thread closed. Edit for outcast: I didn't respond to your questions because I felt that these have been asked and answered many times over, and this thread was closed because of the obvious arguments that would ensue. At any rate, let me try to respond to your questions so you feel you have closure. The fact is young children can view this website.. WHY they are is irrelevant. Inappopriate content was constantly being posted in the Babes forum, and if you felt that it was being monitored constantly, that was because of alot of hard work and time spent by a few people. The fact remains that Neowin is a Tech news site, and we're going to stay on topic. Girls, thongs, bikinis, etc are not tech news (until they make robots of these :D) and didn't really belong here in the first place. If you want to view these things, theres many other places you can visit to view them. As for desktop threads, sigs and avatars... these have always been under observation and the same rules apply to them as they always did. There has never been a huge problem with them, but I assure you, if it begins, you'll be kindly asked to change your sig/avatar or have the link to your desktop removed.
