AMC is apparently planning a fourth season of The Walking Dead.

Though it has not yet been officially confirmed that the zombie drama will continue beyond its upcoming third run, a competition on AMC's official website is offering fans the opportunity to "win a trip to The Walking Dead Season 4 set".

The cable network has teamed up with the American Red Cross for a nationwide blood drive, with those who make an appointment to donate being entered into a sweepstake.

Winners will then be rewarded with a three-day, two-night trip to "the season four production of The Walking Dead in 2013".

The show's third season premieres in the US on October 14 and makes its UK debut on October 19 at 10pm on FX.

The Walking Dead exec Glen Mazzara has promised that the new episodes will be "relentless", following some criticism of the second season's pace.

"All these horrible things are being thrown at our characters at such a relentless pace that the audience won't be able to catch their breath and figure out what's going on," he explained. "So I think it's just the idea that you are immersed in this apocalypse, and there really is no escape."

I understand promotion but it was over the top. And as a fan of this show i just felt the show lacked. They could of showed us what happened over the winter. I felt like i was watching a non stop killing video game. I know people wanted more zombie but but tonight was a bit too much. Hopefully next week will be better. This should of been a two hour premier.

I thought it was awesome... tension, gritty, realistic, etc. I think the point is to move the story forward and not tell every detail, and leave room for flashbacks and filler if needed. My wife was wondering about Rick's family and the feelings between them (don't want to spoil), but I feel that it was left open for more backstory in future episodes.

Freaking awesome season opener.

Its funny last season people wanted more killing sprees, and now we are getting them

I dont want it every episode. I do hope they kill off lori this season though. The way i look at it theres 16 episodes this season. 8 now, break dec-feb. The other 8 and ending in april. I am looking forward to what they have in store. Just felt tonight was lacking a bit story wise.

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
