FOXBORO - Police say a man with a sweet tooth broke into the Country Store on North Street near Route 1 early Thursday morning, placed a $5 bill on the counter and made off with several candy bars.

Police responded to the burglar alarm at the store at 212 North St. around 2:20 a.m. and found the front door smashed. As they were checking the area for a suspect, police were called by security at nearby Patriot Place about a suspicious man on the property.

Police say the man, Edward Cowen, 25, of 18 Rockland St., first floor, in Taunton, matched the description of the robber captured on the store surveillance cameras.

He was arrested after an investigation by Patrolman James Cannata with the help of Sgt. Michael Grace and officers Scot Taggart and Shawn Buckley.

Cowen faces felony charges in Wrentham District Court of breaking and entering, malicious destruction and larceny from a building, Sgt. Richard Noonan said.

      Normally, I admit when a title is clickbait (unfortunately, it's become somewhat necessary to compete against AI-dominated news sections today), but in this case, all supported versions is implied and doesn't need to be spelled out in the title. Of course, I'm covering a Patch Tuesday update bug that is only available to supported Windows SKUs. All our coverage relates to supported Windows software and SKUs only unless we expressly state that it's "unsupported", "unofficial", or "third-party". I'm sorry, but supported/official SKUs don't need to be spelled out as such in every Neowin headline.
