That fire sounds pretty good...those were the days hehe.

I dont think society can ever go backwards so to speak but you have to keep in mind the male / female dynamic that is reflected in the OP's image got human society this far and was the norm for a vast amount more time then our current state has been. I see the op has a sadface emote there and I guess the point is I don't think you can ascribe good or evil to a state of being that stemmed out of an evolutionary need.

It is certainly important for us to snooze on with our heads in the clouds and completely and forever ignore X yrs of bio-genetic wiring and concomitant social structures and pay no attention whatever to addressing the emergence of new sociological imperatives (?) and conscious development of strategems more appropriate to a more orderly and less chaotic transition than the complete mess we've got on our hands now. I know that this is way too frightening to contemplate. So, brothers and sisters, dream on and watch the dissolution of our social fabric (piece by piece) with nothing to take its place except... nothingness. Then, Then we can all join in celebrating our... victory? over? But, on the bright side we can see the amorphous globs we've all become. (Moorings? who needs 'em).

Authenticity

Investigations propose that the guide may be a hoax. According to snopes.com, the wording "The Advertising Archives" located on the right side of the image suggests a fraud, since the Archives itself was not started until 1990.Additionally, the image used is claimed to be from a 1957 cover of John Bull magazine. The "Good Wife" version of this image appears to be cropped just below where the textbox containing the words "WOMAN AT THE WHEEL" appeared on the John Bull cover image. Finally, when viewed with increased contrast, square boxes are seen around all the listed points. This would only be made if created digitally and then selectively copied into the seen "magazine" format. One source claims that the text of this article has been circulating since at least the 1980s via fax. Others have claimed that the article is real. However there was no magazine called Housekeeping Monthly, also the fact that the article mentions "make him a fire" questions its authenticity; even in 1950 many houses didn't have open fires.

Most of it is BS I'm sure! Not all, but most of it!

yet somehow they all survived and and raised well adjusted kids...or you wouldnt exist.... when society loses its roles for people it breaks down... that is where we are today.. running amuck ..this example is an extreme , life today is the opposite extreme and just as damaging if not more..

    • Google pitches Spanner as one database for all AI agents with these new featues by Karthik Mudaliar Google Cloud is introducing new features within Spanner, its distributed database, as a place where enterprises should keep their data, using which AI agents could make smarter and better decisions. In a detailed blog post, Google highlighted quite a few features coming to Spanner, including relational data, graph relationships, vector search, key-value access, full-text search, and operational analytics together in one database architecture. Google says that today's systems aren't well-made for AI agents. There could be data that is present in one system, search indexes in another, embeddings in a vector database, and relationship data in a graph database. This fragmentation isn't great for AI agents to do their jobs because they don't have access to all of this data in one place. This is where Google is positioning Spanner as a solution. Spanner is already a globally distributed relational database with strong consistency, and Google wants its customers to see it as a broader data layer for AI applications. The company introduced something called Spanner Graph, along with integrated vector search, full-text search, a Cassandra-compatible key-value endpoint, and a columnar engine for analytical queries on operational data. Google also added that its ScaNN-powered vector search can support indexes with more than 10 billion vectors, while the columnar engine can make some analytical scans up to 200 times faster. All of this isn't just exclusive to the Google Cloud Platform, and there's support for multi-cloud as well. This comes via Spanner Omni, which Google says is a downloadable, containerized version of Spanner that can run on Kubernetes and in environments outside Google Cloud, including Microsoft Azure and AWS, and even on-premises infrastructure as well as edge deployments. Google says that customers who are interested in the full-featured edition should contact the company, and there's no word on commercial availability or separate pricing. Those interested can read the full blog by Google Cloud, which details these features individually.

    • They have lots of info on me, I have a facebook account and have done so for years, it was the thing to have then. My phone number is not on it. I don't have the Facebook app on my phone these days, just the messenger part, and only for a couple of people to contact me, most will text me via SMS or phone. I agree, Meta, like others, even without an account will know something about me. Just have to try and keep some things private Also, never saw the need for Whatsapp, people used to ask for me to join it, but as I said to them, I have SMS and a phone, use that, or email
