Where did you guys get the info that the DreamSpark Premium folk also get Windows 8 today? Just want to make sure it's not a rumor.

Also, would it be in bad manners (or against forum rules for that matter) to ask for a link to the iso? Since I'll most likely be getting my own license key in a matter of time... :p

It was posted on a UK blog post here...

Is there a way to change the colour of the writing in the toolbars? I changed my theme to black and the writing is just black, not even a white glow.

Also the Xbox Music app cannot find any of my music, I think it may be because it's on a separate harddrive, however it is showing up in Libraries.

Also Windows Media player cannot play any videos, I just get a black screen and audio...

@Elliot: there's DreamSpark and DreamSpark Premium, according to this the Win 8 should be available on DreamSpark Premium today. Also, according to the Lee Scott whom you already referred to, it is in fact available on DSP, but the faculty's or university's DreamSpark admin has to publish it, so it may not be visible to everyone yet.

So much misinformation.... haha. I am actually on the staff so can get it as that anyway, but can't check until tomorrow :(

boo my ACM subscription canceled my MSDNAA account. fooey. Guess I'll have to wait for a key to show up on the net that I can use until the product is available in stores.

Are you sure that DreamSpark admin has to publish it manually?

Because, AFAIK, it used to be like this for MSDN:AA but now it's automated.

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.

    • No thanks! WebView trash is unacceptable. I only use software that's native.
