things slowing way down again this morning

Replies seem to be hanging, Although if I look at the same thread in another tab it successfully posts my reply. It just kinda times out on the replying tab and doesn't admit it has done it

Actually, it's running the best it has in months, at the moment. I did have a slowness just trying to login though earlier.

Maybe it's a router problem or whatnot? If your servers are in the same racks as stardock's, has anyone looked to see if their site goes slow when neowin starts going slow?

Thats would slow the entire site though not just the forums

It's got to be the forum software, the front page is still fine for me. I've tried blocking the ads and that didn't even make much difference to loading speed, so they can't be to blame either

know you are working on database but just reporting

made a post showed up immediately on the thread as i refreshed it in another tab but the original post took 2mins 42 seconds from clicking post to the page refreshing and showing the post

^ It's been better overall for me but it comes and goes. It completely stopped working for me last twice on two different occasions, but only for a short time. It worked fine the rest of the time.

Just for the sake of my own interest (and this question is directed not just at Neowin's staff but anyone that knows IPB) do you believe the issues are specific to Neowin and it's customisations or does IPB simply not handle large boards well?

Strange, things used to be very slow for me but its much faster yesterday and today.

Saying that, my download speed does seems quicker too, maybe its just my connection that speeded up :laugh:

It was the AJAX loading of the new post that was slow for me, and I don't think that's related to my connection so not convinced its my end that made it quicker.
