how to use serial port in android?

i have a friendlyArm tiny6410 device .i want to use serial port to transfer and receive data.

it has a actual serial port but if it can done using usb to serial virtual port that would be better .

how can i do this?

ohh and im new to android development so if u can direct me to a simple tutorial that would be great :)
