Going by the article itself...

Dhaou Fatnassi... swallowed the eggs... The young man then experienced stomach pains and was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival

"Then" could mean any acute time period following the swallowing of the eggs; it is not clearly indicative of a few seconds to minutes, especially not in a poorly reported article such as this.

If salmonella killed him, it would have been a couple of days later. You don't put "then" for a time period several days (or even hours) later, you put it when you mean almost immediately after.

Or it's being used to establish a sequence of events rather than necessarily meaning immediately after. If I'd have replied to your post tomorrow, one could still say FloatingFatMan posted then Manish did.

If it was anaphylaxis, he'd be unlikely to experience just abdominal pain and die despite managing to seek medical help.

Shall we just agree to disagree as it's pointless trying to diagnose the cause of death solely based off this article?

about a year and a half ago i was visiting a friend. we had breakfast sandwiches one morning - toast, ham, egg, cheese. i had the egg, but my friend didnt. about an hour after eating it i started to feel weird. kinda sick, but i didnt think much of it. it got worse throughout the day. about 6hrs after eating, i lost it.... came back up in an amazing volume. after that, i was a total wreck for 8hrs. constant vomiting, diarrhea, cold sweats, fever, shaking. i couldnt keep anything down. 8 hours of total hell. it was the worst experience of my life.

the next day i managed to drive home (4hrs) but laid in bed for the next 2 days. i didnt get my appetite back for nearly a week. lost 15lbs. didnt eat an egg for about 3 months after that!

worst experience of my life. i wouldnt wish it on anyone.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it. But the cholesterol in the eggs is what killed him most likely. This isn't the first time some idiot died from eating too many eggs. Cholesterol goes directly into the blood and will affect your heart in a short time. Only a fool eats more than 3 eggs in one sitting. Raw egg I mean.

    • Sound Booster 1.13 Build 575 by Razvan Serea Increase volume on your laptop. Boost the volume of even very quiet speakers. Raise volume above maximum. Letasoft Sound Booster can be used as an extra amplifier when the volume of the program you are listening to is too low for comfortable listening and you feel that your PC’s speakers can produce a louder sound. This can be the case when the audio or video has been recorded at the level below normal. Or, for example, when the other person’s microphone you are talking to on Skype, is not working properly. There can be a plenty of other reasons why the sound is being too quiet and there is not much you can do about it except buy external speakers. Sound of any application that is being played in the system can be amplified up to 500%. Letasoft Sound Booster can raise volume of programs like web browsers, on-line communication software (Teams, Discord, Zoom), any kind of media player or games. Simply put, volume of virtually any program that can play any sound in PC, can be boosted to a comfortable level with Letasoft Sound Booster. You can control current volume with the pop-up slider from the system tray. Alternatively, you can assign system-wide hot keys for increasing and decreasing, and use them when you need to adjust volume Letasoft Sound Booster constantly monitors current gain level and prevents samples from clipping, thus reducing all major sound distortions. • I own these and the normal QuietComfort ones from Bose. The QC are amazing and I want to love these, but for the life of me, I have a terrible time getting them attached to my ears.
    • Thanks for the tip. I am giving it a try. Initial quick impression: I like it.
