Red Hat CEO says you should buy Windows

Even a n00b can be directed over the phone how to update their graphics drivers for windows. Try helping somebody install hardware on Linux.

"Right, now you need to unbzip your linux sources... what kernel version are you running? Ah well, that's no good, you'll have go go to kernel.org and download more up-to-date ones and compile them yourself. Done that? Now, just modify this here makefile to the location of your kernel source tree, compile it, add the modprobe lines to your /etc/init.d/rc.d files and you're done. Hello? Hello?"

Until Linux gets a decent GUI, and decent well-designed applications (OK, Openoffice and Mozilla are good), it'll never take off as a desktop OS. There are a lot of obviously smart guys writing apps for Linux, but they don't seem to have a clue about how to make it useable.

 even though i do agree, i very much like linux and the very idea it is. sad to see redhat 9 be there last personal release. but face it, windows is best for home computing. next to that my linux and wanting of a mac box.

aren't they continuing redhat linux under the name of Fedora? am a lil confused about whats happenein!
