I am under the impression that that screen doesn't update if you keep GOG open.

hmmm that can be true, havent tested as I reboot my laptop constantly

Is it the same steps for the PS4 version? (I'd check myself, but I'm at work  :pinch: )

no idea, i do not own a PS4 :(

The trolls in Witcher 3 are pretty awesome, don't remember them being as funny or easy going in previous instalments.

yes, i dont think i ever saw good trolls in any games as in this

I hope they will make the installation process of dlcs on Galaxy easier. On Steam you just check a box. On Galaxy you need to download the exe then "install" it and then you don't even know if the dlc will be updated if there's an update or if you'll need to re-download and re-install again.

it is a mess on galaxy.   however licking more... configure.   is the place that shows you what DLC are enabled after the downloads

i agree though, it is confusing, and the DLCs are not organized in an easy to understand and/or find way...

hopefully they will work on that. it is only beta.

i have a whole bunch of issues with it, but i have my hopes up, as this is the platform, i would prefer to get my all my games from, eventually....

So what is possible after you beat the game? All the main characters gone and no longer appear? I know you can free roam but not sure what all is possible.

card game quests are there for me, though not all of them, to complete.    fist fights.      i managed to find 2 places that had a notice board, and got 2 very easy contracts out of it.   otherwise, i feel useless.

i should have completed more quests when i could i guess....

all scavenger hunts are still there for me.   but what is the point, if i can already kill anything and anyone.... and i don't want more gold.

i wonder if the character will be transferred to the 2 major expansion packs coming..      if so, i might scavenge around a little but more, to customize my character.

but, again, it is likely to make it too easy, so i guess i will have to max out the difficulty, come the expansion packs...

I completed all the contracts.  One of the first things I did when I visited a new area was go to the contract boards.  Got an acheivement for completing all the contracts.  Did all the horse races, all the qwent tasks.  Found all the ? areas.  Did all this before I beat the game.  I like to get my moneys worth for a $60 game

Kinda hoping there were be a Ciri DLC where it is about her.

yeah i would love that too.    we got a tease of ciri gameplay.     i honestly think she might possibly the next main character if they made witcher 4.

They've been working on that in paralell with Witcher 3, so they could easily start on a new witcher right now, staggered releases.

it makes sense as well at the start of the project it's a lot of art asset work, then at the end it switches to more coding while the art is mostly tidying and level building. That means if they work on two games at the same that are shifted halfway from each other in release time, they can keep most of the dev team on without firing people inbetween projects.

So I would expect them to have another project on the line, since they already expanded their team to start on cyberpunk, as for what the witcher team will be working on, a 4th or a completely new game... who knows.

i am not sure where i got this info from, as i browse a lot of sites sometimes...    but i am pretty sure the cyberpunk was more or less on hold, waiting for w3 to be released.

they most likely dedicated significant resourses to it now, but there is still a matter of 2 expansion packs coming, that i am sure keeping some of the team busy.

personally, as much as i would love to see w4 soon, i prefer they only focus on 1 major game (like they did with w3)

Anyone have any good strategies for playing against a Monster deck? The deck the woman blacksmith in Crow's Perch plays with is complete bullsh--.

Spy cards, if you have any, Scorch, and the frozen land card, 2 or 3 of them if you can manage.

Use your spy cards to bait as much as you can from them in the first round. It usually doesn't matter if you win or lose it as long as you have more cards in your hand for the second round.

So this was probably super obvious to everyone except for me, but if you are playing on the PS4 and you want the free DLC that CDPR has been releasing, just claim them in the store.

I was looking through the menus and in game NPCs, and couldn't find anything, and I don't know why I didn't think to check the store. I was poking around the store today, and I noticed all of them under Wild Hunt "Add-ons". (Y)

I still don't know how to GET them in the game, but at least I know where to download them. lol   :s

So I was playing a bit this morning before work (I'm not a morning person, but I've been waking up a little early the last week or so to play this more, that's how much I am enjoying this game) and I attempted to finish the "Defending the Faith" quest. Spoilers below, but I am confused about the outcome of the quest.

I helped the old woman fix the first statue and got the quest. I eventually made it to the last statue, and that's where you run into the group of "students" tipping them over. You're given a choice to not interfere (like a Witcher would really do) or stop them; in which case you have to fist-fight all four. Now, on my first attempt (after fixing 2/3 statues) I decided not to interfere but then the quest gets a failed status instead of completed. Why does this happen? Is there a way to not interfere but also complete the quest successfully? I reloaded my previous save and chose the "stop them" option, just so I could complete the quest but it's kind of annoying I couldn't act like a

real witcher. Any one else run into this?

yeah it is a bummer.   there is no way to complete the quest without fighting them, as far as i know.. though according to the quest log, it says in a jokey way

that it ends with a brawl "as is often the case with students" when talking about worldviews,

and not that it ended with 4 dead men at the hands of Geralt.

so I assume he just beat them up, not really killed them.

still, weird quest. i would have expected him to use axii.   or fight in a brawl where it shows them backing off, not die.

Yeah I did read the completed quest text.

I definitely got the impression that he just beat them up, but didn't kill them. Which is fine I guess. Axii would have been a logical choice, like you said. I'm not sure why it wasn't an option in the dialogue...though I did use it on them

during the fight to make them beat each other up.  :shifty:

It is a checkbox on Galaxy as well. Maybe you're looking at the wrong page.

i still have plenty quests to do but i will miss the story line

Can you continue playing after you finish the main storyline?

I'm pretty sure you can. I haven't made it that far yet, stopped playing because apparently the 1.07 patch is gonna be big and add some new features. They hinted it would (finally) add a loot stash among other things.

    • It's interesting to hear that AI growth is not investor driven.
    • A few weeks ago, I had this same exact issue. Unfortunately, I didn't think of disabling the Secure Boot option in BIOS. I updated my BIOS to the latest version for my MB and it resolved the issue.
    • I have a partial answer, when I used a multi-port usb hub I had degraded speed performance with 3 large external hard drives connected. I managed to snag a nice (yet older) USB3 based wavelink docking station cheap / used that has x6 usb 3 ports and almost doubled the speed of the external hard drives transfer rate. This looks to be a slightly upgraded model -https://ebay.io/m/LZtjTy
    • Microsoft faces shareholder lawsuit over masking AI costs and slowing Azure growth by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft is facing a class action lawsuit from shareholders who allege that the company intentionally overhyped its artificial intelligence initiatives to distract from slowing cloud revenue and an exploding infrastructure bill. The complaint was filed in a Seattle federal court by the Michigan-based City of St. Clair Shores Police and Fire Retirement System. The plaintiffs argue that Microsoft’s leadership painted an overly optimistic picture of its Copilot rollout and complex OpenAI partnership. They say that the company did this while downplaying the harsh reality that building the data centers required to power these next-generation tools requires a huge amount of capital. Back at the company's Q2 2026 earnings report from late January, Microsoft revealed that its flagship Azure cloud growth had slipped to 39% (down from 40% the prior quarter) and guided investors to expect a further deceleration to 37% or 38% for the first three months of 2026. Now, under normal circumstances, a slight percentage point drop in cloud growth is a minor operational hiccup. But the Redmond giant paired that guidance with $37.5 billion in quarterly capital expenditures. This figure, which is a 66% year-over-year surge, blew past any analyst estimates at that time. Much of this amount went into buying high-priced GPUs and custom silicon that were required to train and run large language models. This is why the market reacted violently and just a day after its earnings call on January 29, the company's stock plummeted 10%, and wiped out $357 billion of capital in just a trading session. Microsoft is doing better now, though. Its Q3 2026 results showed its run rate from its AI business was hitting $37 billion, proving that enterprise demand for its infrastructure is very real and continuing to scale. Microsoft isn't the only company pouring billions into infrastructure for the AI boom. We've seen most Big Tech companies, including Amazon and Google, also get the results of these investments with stronger-than-ever growth and increased income. via Reuters
