Can someone explain the Tablet feature to me please? Is that an actual Tablet application that connects or was it a touch screen PC of some sort?

Also, they said it was multiplayer but it looked like the opposite team were bots or something. Would be cool to get bot support back! :D

Probably Smartglass. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/smartglass

I don't know all its capabilities or how they differ between the machines but I saw it a few times during the show for launching artillery and stuff.

Did anyone get an alpha key?

We all know that BF4 Premium is coming, I just wish they would allow me to purchase it now alongside the game itself.

But then they couldn't make more money in selling the limited edition version which will include the first map pack, which you'll get for free in Premium.

the 64bit only caught my eye :p

Where did you get them specs from? I don't get why 8 wouldn't be included lol. Also no word on minimum RAM?

Unfortunately, a lot of my friends did though. Coincidentally all below average players :D Stream here: http://www.twitch.tv/n12_mcflyjesusxd/b/418222679

It's completely daft, that's what it is. I might see if I can just hang on for BF4: Premium Edition.

Specs were in the alpha email. And it's true Windows 8 isn't supported.

Honestly I can't see the difference in graphics between BF4 and BF3?

Probably more in the special effects and lighting than amount of detail...though you can blow up buildings again.  Just looking at the video it seemed that way anyway, and it seemed like Warfighter had better effects overall than BF3 when I was playing em, haven't touched em in a while though.

Might be notably bigger maps on PC if they intend to stay 64 bit only, but we'll see.  That would be unexpected, but EA did cut compatibility with dx9 before anyone else.

Implying that not supporting W8 would tank sales. Good joke.

Consider that as far as applications are concerned 7 and 8 are pretty much the same.

Consider that high end gamers would be more likely to be on or move to the newer OSes.

Consider that if they didn't support 8, why would I expect their software to work on 9 or 10 when I upgrade to that?

Consider that new machines are sold with 8.

I dunno man, I think you're the only one laughing.

I really hope they allow Windows 8 to work with it.  I just ordered an new PC that comes with 8.   Hmm.

It'll work, there's no doubt about that. As for the alpha, it may never support Windows 8. The beta is more likely to support it.

I know they will support 8. I don't remember ever saying they won't.

Got any proof to backup that second statement? W8 doesn't offer any performance advantage over W7 that isn't a statistical anomaly.

Again, where did I say they will not support W8?

Consider market share.

Thanks for making me laugh harder.

    • I bought this game. Played it for an hour, and then got a refund from Steam. Not a fun game at all.

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets another hotfix for one of the game's online modes by Taras Buria Recently, Forza Horizon 6 players discovered an interesting glitch that allowed farming a crazy amount of in-game credits in a few minutes. Playground Games quickly pulled the plug on the exploit by disabling one of the game's online modes, and today, the studio is rolling out another hotfix. In my review, I complained about the game still showering gamers with cars, credits, and wheelspins. As such, earning money in Forza Horizon 6 is not a particularly difficult task. You simply have to play the game, crazy, I know. However, people still found an easier path to becoming a billionaire in Forza Horizon 6. All you had to do was purchase the Hummer EV, install a specific tune, shift in reverse while going at about 15 MPH, hit a wall, and get launched into the stratosphere at the speed of light. While mid-air, launch Eliminator and quickly get eliminated. Boom, the game just awarded you with a few million in-game credits. Initially, Playground Games disabled Eliminator to prevent people from farming credits. Now, following the release of the first balancing update, developers are rolling out a new update that re-enables Eliminator and gives users a free McLaren Sabre as a gesture of goodwill. Here is the changelog: One critical issue remains unpatched, though. There are quite a few reports of the game wiping gamers' saves, and developers are still looking into that. To avoid potential data loss, Playground Games recommends taking one of the steps outlined in a previously published support article.
