Boston Bombing Suspects - MIT Shooting - Manhunt

and if it was illegal, then there is a lot of websites that aggregate scanner radios that should of been shut down already

I'm listening to the police scanner stream and I keep hearing them say "watch your mic" what's that all about?

They don't want to give details out on the radio

over here we're working on new fully digital emergency communication systems across services. I think Norway is failing bad barely rolled out in a few major cities and hugely over budget, while Sweden has managed to do it on or nearly on budget so far and about on time I believe. They keep referring to how well the swedes did it when talking about the failure of the project here.

The plot thickens....

FBI source told Fox that the older brother was questioned in 2010 at the request of a foreign govt (Russia?) He then traveled to Moscow in Jan 2012 and came back in July. Speculation is that he made his way to an AQ or other Jihadist teaining camp in/around Chechnya before returning.

Many countries in Europe have switched to TETRA for their police forces which is completely encrypted (and not broken to date AFAIK).

If this had been a AQ mission they would have taken credit. and it would have been a lot better planned with a lot higher body count, they'd also be more willing to die.

had this been a properly organized terror attack they would probably have staged it similar to Breivik over here. The bombs first for panic and carnage, but they won't kill that many, then guns for the body count. Had they used guns after the bombs their body count could easily have been in triple digits.

I don't know what system they're using or going to use here. just that the project group or company doing the project is failing hard, I think they even switched either the company doing it or project leaders because of it, but I don't pay much attention to it.

wikied up on it, and it is TETRA based. originally contracted to Nokia Siemens networks, now taken over by Motorola Solutions since 2012. granted before this each of our services had their own com nets and couldn't talk amongst each other apparently.

Sounds like that one guy, was it the shoe bomber... tried to join AQ and they said he was too crazy, and they wouldn't even let him in.... lol that's pretty bad.. so he went and tried something stupid on his own, now he's in a Supermax in Illinois or Colorado I believe.

Wrong. Richard Reid traveled to Pakistan in 2001, then went overland to A'stan where he and another Brit were given bombs and training by AQ.

Flash: IN CUSTODY!! In smbulance on the way to hospital. Cops cheering.

joining one of the many "AQ" training camps doesn't make you part of AQ. most of the training camps aren't actually AQ either, but just freedom fighter camps with no specific connection or part of other smaller groups whose members later join AQ. As it is anyone can pretty much join these camps if they want and can find them.

Suprised someone like him didnt go out instead of letting them get near. Could you imagine? All those PD around him and if he had bags of explosives and said "**** it"? I think they got lucky.

He was probably losing blood, that could have something to do with it.
