HawkMan
Suprised someone like him didnt go out instead of letting them get near. Could you imagine? All those PD around him and if he had bags of explosives and said "**** it"? I think they got lucky. As I said before, the longer he runs, the longer it lasts, the longer he's holed up, the less likely he is to want to die. right at the start he might be determined to go all out and die in the process of taking out as many as possible. but then it drags out and he starts thinking about it, and death seems less and less like an interesting concept. matt4444 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1147902-boston-bombing-suspects-mit-shooting-manhunt/page/26/#findComment-595648574 Share on other sites

xendrome
Glad Obama was able to capture the suspect quickly as he promised. With all due respect, Obama had little to do with this, this was the work of the individuals of all of the agencies coming together and working well to come to this conclusion. matt4444 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1147902-boston-bombing-suspects-mit-shooting-manhunt/page/26/#findComment-595648588 Share on other sites

MDboyz
Seriously, the credit is those who are working their ass off the whole day to capture those criminals. If you think it was Obama to capture them quickly, then in this case, I would blame him for not preventing the bombing. Anthony Tosie Veteran Posted April 20, 2013 Veteran Share Posted April 20, 2013 One of the best things about the suspect being captured is him having to hear all the cheering every single time the vehicle he's in passes a group of people. When he was apprehended? Cheering. When the vehicle he's in passes a block? Cheering. When it's stopped at a traffic light? Cheering. Amazing. DirtyLarry Veteran Posted April 20, 2013 Veteran Share Posted April 20, 2013 Big place, shots get fired all the time. chances are slim that it's related, even though people would need to be pretty dense to shoot guns in Massachusetts right now. My browser was open on the page you made this comment, that is why I am revisiting it so many pages later. Seriously though, and I am hoping this has already been pointed out by several other members, this is perhaps the most far fetched, in fact damn right ridiculous, statements I have ever personally seen you make. Believe me when I say that between your stances on video game consoles to your tendency to insist that your opinion is the only correct one that exists no matter what the subject to what appears to be a pretty obvious anti-american sentiment, take all of these things in to account and I have seen you make some pretty far fetched statements. This one truly takes the cake. Is this seriously what you think the United States is like?? That shots are fired so often they would not be a big deal? We are talking the suburban outskirts of one of the major cities in the USA. Shots ARE NOT fired all the time. That is NOT normal. Never-mind the fact this entire area is literally on lock down. Wow. Just Wow. So BOT. If the news is true and he has been taking into custody, I was really hoping he would have either committed suicide or presented a situation where he had to be taken out. I know this may sound incredibly insensitive, but the reason I was hoping this would be now this creep is going to get so much media attention. This is going to be dragged on and dragged on and dragged on and dragged on. As a result, is going to provide so much more fuel to those that have similar feelings of disdain as he does. I truly fear this is only the beginning of this type of occurrence here in the states. So many other countries and areas face terrorism on a consistent basis, and thus far this country has been lucky enough to pretty much avoid it. It appears as if those days may in-fact be behind us. Honestly the more of a spotlight that the media gives this case, the more other fanatics and lunatics are going to commit copy cat like events. Never did I say that ****s get fired all the time, just that it was a big place and just because shots get fired doesn't automatically make them related. At one point you used to be a fairly respected person on these forums with logical and well thought out posts, lately, you seem to become more ... Marshall Veteran Posted April 20, 2013 Veteran Share Posted April 20, 2013 Firstly, awesome work by the BPD and FBI, outstanding, my hat is off to you. Because of them the people of Boston will sleep a little easier tonight and breathe a sigh of relief. Secondly, as one reporter put it, because of all the businesses that had to shut down, they estimate the city of Boston has lost around 1 billion in revenue. So the answer is simple, plan a trip to Boston, put some of your money back into their economy. I know I'm going. +Random Stranger, Growled, BajiRav and 1 other 4 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1147902-boston-bombing-suspects-mit-shooting-manhunt/page/26/#findComment-595648634 Share on other sites

Boxster17
So I guess the suspect is in critical condition, and really hope he pulls through if only for the fact that we're left without any sort of answers if he passes. Too many people were injured or lost their lives, and death almost seems like an easy way out for him at this point.
