no rush man, even if they do not realize it, they are better off waiting for a no issue update rather then a bug or 2.

I know. This is, so far, the most bug free version of the AP yet. Raptor has gotten out almost all of the bugs from the executable (I'd say all, but there may be one or two in there we don't know about. lol), I've gotten all the new updates working nice, hand in hand with the old... also, the documentation in this release is better. Also the files are nice and cleaned up, all in their seperate folders, and the File Tree has been cleaned a little more. Also, I redid all the descriptions (took me about a full day) so that they tell you more, for example:

TweakUI 2.10 used to say (as a description): This will install TweakUI 2.10

But now:

TweakUI 2.10 now says (as a description): This gives you access to system settings such as mouse settings, Explorer settings, taskbar settings, and more.

I went through each and every option and I added detailed descriptions, so now if you don't know what something is, you'll get at least an idea of what it will do. :)

Also, the new format allows you to make your own custom database file, without editing the original one, so future updates will not affect your custom files. And, just incase you had a custom database, the Updater will backup the old database when patching... just so you can retrieve your old info.

As far as the look, it's been cleaned up, colors changed, banner changed, icon changed. I think it has a more professional feel to it now, than before.

There are even more changes, but I just thought I'd give some examples. :D

Okay peeps here is the situation I just finished final tests and it is fully done!!! YAY! YAY! YAY!

God this update is schweeeeettt you are all gonna love it.

The updater does work so the updater will be like 58megs (I know kinda big but Java Update (update from 1.4.2_02 to 1.4.2_03), MSN Messenger Update (to build 0203), and fixing the .Net issues... along with the new changes kinda blew keepin it small.)

Flish is repackaging it now so it will be out very soon after he uploads it and posts the links.

Yes a full pack will be released also.

Know Bugs:

1. When choosing "Run AutoPatcher XP" from the Menu, the Menu doesn't close. This is not really a bug, rather a feature that wasn't implemented in the software used to create the new menu. We've talked with the coders and they will release a new version with that option. When they do, it will be added.

2. When running the Update, it will leave behind the old AutoPatcher_XP_4.0_Final folder, inside is a file that tells you that the folder is safe to delete. Unfortunately the Updater can't delete it, so it must be done manually (though if you leave it, there won't be any problems).

3. When choosing to uninstall Windows Messenger, you will get an Error Box, that's normal and has to do with the way it's removed. This isn't a bug and it can't be prevented.

4. When installing Messenger Plus!, it may open a browser window. This won't affect the AutoPatcher's install, but it can't be avoided.

Workin' on it now. :D

So now that you guys have all this information, feel free to comment, drool, etc. ;) (Y)

Well, the droolings done, dunno whether it's from my extreme tiredness or the update :p Anyways, I'm off to bed, I'll grab this in the morning, thanks for all your hard work!

Great, how long till the upload for the full version is done? Great work guys!

Hey man why don't you just download the November pack and grab the Dec update vesion when you get the link? It really would save you time 'cause while you wait for the Dec pack to be uploaded you can get the Nov full pack. The final product after the Dec update is the same.

I already have the November pack but I'd rather get the whole thing again, besides I've got the bandwidth to spare. Anyways, off to bed now, night (or day:p) everyone!

Goggles on - check

Hand on mouse - check

Waiting. Somewhere in the distance a dog barks...

The UI looks great. A long way from the command line batch file.

Yeah, I still have a copy of that (every final build since the first, I've kept a copy... lol). :)

To bad... As a student I am used to live on the campus with a T1 connexion.

But now I am home , I only have a ADSL connexion and set a FTP access for your application would not really help (can't upload more than 16 Ko/s).

Sorry I wish I could hold your files...

Maybe in the futur, after my vacation...

Great job anyway

Well, the Update should be up in about 30 min, and the first link to the full about 2 hours later (sucky upload speeds).  So hopefully that should help you a bit.

Thanks Flish... hopefully I'll be able to grab it off my work T3 before I head home around 4PM EST :D

    • I am one of the first people to use the DXVK technology. In the channel below you can see some videos that I have made using this technology, including Assassin's Creed Odyssey. https://www.youtube.com/@nahum7995/videos Assassin's Creed Odyssey experienced several bugs and technical issues during its first months after release. It launched with its own fair share of funny but frustrating glitches. I ran it on DXVK 9 days after its release and I played it for many hours but didn't see a single significant bug on Linux. Assassin's Creed Odyssey is widely celebrated for pushing the franchise in bold new directions and specifically for nailing several elements better than any other title in the AC series: Player Choice & Branching Narrative, The Mercenary & Cultist System, Mythological Integration, Overpowered Combat Abilities, Open World Exploration But what I'm trying to point out is that this game wasn't quite playable on most windows systems, until a few months after its release when most of the bugs were fixed. However, on Linux it ran completely flawless from day one, although DXVK had seen little development and refinement at the time. What do you think the situation will be in 2026 now that most bugs and glitches of DXVK have been completely eliminated? This is information from Google about these situations that I am quoting. In many cases, using DXVK (a translation layer that converts DirectX 9, 10, or 11 into Vulkan) can result in more stable frame times and higher performance than native Windows rendering. This happens primarily by bypassing driver overhead and multithreading draw calls that were previously restricted to a single CPU core. Older APIs (like DirectX 9 and 11) are largely single-threaded on the CPU side. DXVK translates these calls to Vulkan, which is highly multi-threaded. This reduces CPU-bound stuttering on weaker processors. In certain cases, GPU manufacturers (especially AMD) have significantly better and more modern Vulkan drivers than they do for legacy DirectX. Vulkan gives developers—and in this case, the translation layer—closer control over how resources are held in VRAM. This can prevent micro-stutters and sudden frame drops during chaotic gameplay. Yes, certain games, particularly older DirectX 9 to 11 titles, can run with fewer crashes on DXVK than on native Windows. By intercepting DirectX draw calls and translating them into the modern, highly efficient Vulkan API, DXVK bypasses the limitations and poor driver support that cause instability in aging game engines. PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 can be easily and perfectly emulated on Linux. In fact, modern Linux emulators offer high-performance upscaling, widescreen patches, and automatic controller mapping out of the box.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 PlayStation 1/2/3 games look drastically better on Linux thanks to resolution upscaling. Furthermore, it is also a fact that you cannot play many fun games on Windows either, isn't it? - The Nintendo Switch has an extensive library of exclusive games. - PlayStation has an extensive library of exclusive games - Android has "mobile-exclusive" games, meaning they are exclusive to mobile devices (iOS and Android) and aren't available on PC or consoles. And finally, it is also the case that in the next five years there will be games that millions of people will say you absolutely must play and that they want to play this specific game that released a few days ago. However, the other side of this story is that currently, absolutely no one cares that they cannot play these upcoming games right now.
