Well, obviously, that was a throwaway comment, exagerating the amount of anger I would feel towards her, or anyone else in that situation, regardless of gender, and the inability to control myself, for comedic effect. I could have said, "I would have punched her".

Haven't been following the conversation between you and zhiVago however yes I would share that exact same feeling more of punching/strangling them but you don't actually do it but it would be nice sometimes just need to find a better approach i think the phone throwing was a good compromise for him at the time
