The Apple Worldwide Developers' Conference will kick off with the keynote today at 10:00 Pacific Time (13:00 Eastern, 18:00 BST, 19:00 CEST). What can we expect to see?

What's obvious: Apple are going to talk about iOS 7 and OS X 10.9 $unnamed_cat. Betas of both should be available shortly after the keynote.

What's likely: New Mac hardware - new Macbook Pros and Macbook Airs in particular.

Rumoured: New Mac Pro

To be expected: A few words regarding future iOS devices, i.e. iPhone 5S, iPad 5

What else can we expect? Will Tim Cook pull a 'one more thing' no one expects? Discuss in the comments.

In how many more hours does this start? being on the other side of the world its hard to find the time, but in hours from this post its easier to set my alarm so i dont miss it :)

I find it funny that people expect to see the next iPhone today. They might... but if history repeats itself, the new iPhone is shown when iOS 7 actually ships (which, if history repeats itself, won't be today. Just an announcement).

I do expect announcements for iOS 7, OS X 10.9, maybe a new iTunes for when iOS 7 ships and semi-immediate (less than a month, maybe a week) availability of updated MacBooks with Haswell.

So does anyone know if the streaming will be only for Safari/iOS? Or can i see it on Windows with Chrome?

Is there a streaming link already posted for this? Are we sure its going to be available on iPad's and iPhones to stream?

Also I expect we will hear about iRadio now that they signed the deal with Sony.

Live Streaming video requires Safari 4 or later on Mac OS X v10.6 or later; Safari on iOS 4.2 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later.

No mention of a potential XCode 5 in the poll? :(

The development of XCode is probably the least secret of all their products given that you pretty much get to 'see the future via the discussions on the LLVM mailing lists.

As for me, I'm all excited about both iOS 7 and OS X 10.9 but equally I'm interested in the changes that LLVM are providing such as the new C++ library and the performance improvements it brings at the low level (there are some benchmarks on the LLVM C++ website) along with new frameworks that'll hopefully mean clearing out more old legacy stuff in favour of cleaner and better optimised ones for now and into the future.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
