Anyone else getting a lot more dropped connections after the last update.  I'm seeing quite a few, up from about zero beforehand...

Haven't played since Sunday. When was the new update? Hope they get this sorted quick, i need my Titanfall fix and am very close to Gen 4. Just that damn railgun is so weak and slow!

It was the 15th I believe, with the new maps.

Railgun's alright if you time it well :P

I'm working on getting to Gen 7 - just need 16 more rodeo kills...

Don't even start with the rodeos...i have no idea how to do those. I think the requirements will prove too much for me soon.

As for the update, if the last one was the 15th then i didn't notice any difference in connectivity quality - for better or worse.

Rodeo kills are fairly straightforward once you get the LMG, especially with the Slammer upgrade. I think pretty much any other weapon would be worthless unless you jump on a weak one. You just have to remember to keep shooting after you doom it until it's dead or it ejects you because it's going nuclear.

I had two at the weekend for the first two games but after that no issues. I played around 15 games in total I think. Haven't had a chance to play since then.

Thanks, will remember to use the LMG, never really got into that one!

I don't think there's an issue with DLC after 2 months. MP games usually feel pretty boring long before that for me.

I think when it comes to Titanfall it's a bit of a smack in the face though, when it's MP only and light on content for $60 to begin with. You know you've made a mistake on your pricing when people start saying PvZ GW offers more bang for $.

But that's the cost of delays, porting and AAA industry for you...

Respect this opinion but disagree with it. Titanfall is far from light on content, it's pure joy for me. And it has more maps than most other shooters. I think it's a great value, already at nearly 60 hours played, which is quite impressive for me...

As for PvZ: GW, that sunflower really scares me.

A few details on the the next major Titanfall update from E3

Biggest change to note - two new game modes (2v2 Titan and Marked for Death), Titan burn cards, Titan customisation and finally team shuffling.

Team shuffling is going to be great (something that should have been there from day one) but it means that you won't need to find a whole new team to play against every few matches.

This is great news! Shuffling indeed should have been from day one seeing as we've had this capability in gaming starting around 1994...Marked for Death hahaha let me guess the CO will be John Hatcher? Good name for a mode. And more burn cards always welcome, am addicted to those. Thinking about buying the actual set....

It could be worse - it COULD be Steven Seagal (star in a movie of that name).

Despite being an early snack, I'm back to enjoying Titanfall (via Game Time).  The biggest issue is that I have so many OTHER games on my plate that I wind up playing Titanfall in dribs and drabs.

Hahahaha i need to work on my humor or i don't know what...if i was referencing Seagal's character in Marked for Death then clearly i know it was Seagal...that was the whole point of the joke arrrggghhhhh! :argh:

But yeah, i know what you mean :ike:

As for Titanfall, i also can't get enough of it even though i keep telling myself over 60 hours in three months is plenty, time to put it down...but i just want to be Gen 10

I feel your pain. I haven't been Anne to really enjoy the game since mid April. Works been busy as hell and I've had grown up things to worry about. Now that its summer I'll barely have time for games and titanfall works because of how fast it is.

Oh and I agree with too many games. Working on infamous on ps4 and watch dogs on PC. In between played hard line and destiny. By the time summer is over destiny will be available. Next month I'm moving and last of us comes out for ps4 :( with how good the game is I'm going to probably not bother playing it unless its a stupidly hot day outside.

Why do we have to be grown ups!

Hey your smart device must really like Anne as opposed to "able to" :p

You ask the most painful question out there, all joking aside. Why must we age? Why must all this pass? Why is life always about balancing stuff? Work, family, and trying to enjoy life...each with their own lot and problems and challenges...sometimes i just feel like locking the door and doing nothing but gaming and drinking beer, but then the rational part of me reminds the not so rational side that's hardly a sustainable lifestyle...

Well, let's not be too philosophical about it - just try to find time when time is to be found for games, and good luck with your new place :fun:

More reason to play - Update 4 dropping soon

Thanks for posting this, nice and pretty massive update. Love the ability to unlock titan classes w/o SP, which i think is a wasted mode in Titanfall. All the other changes and updates also seem good, so hopefully this is done soon.

Yep it will be interesting indeed, even if the an initial match is unbalanced the shuffling should help a great deal.

Update should be hear before the end of the month. I think there were a lot of complaints about no-one playing the SP and it meant a load of players were unable to unlock the extra Titan chassis so they needed to make changes there.

    • The GEEKOM A8 mini PC is 20% off (lower than Prime Day pricing) plus Huge Storewide Sale by Steven Parker GEEKOM is back with a deal on a variant of its A8 Mini PC powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 8945HS, which came out in 2024 with a TDP of just 45W, with a base clock of 3.8 GHz and a Turbo Boost of 4.9 GHz; although we never reviewed this variant, we did check out the Ryzen 9 version. As a reminder of what you get, below are the specifications for this Mini PC. GEEKOM A8 Dimensions 112.4 mm x 112.4 mm x 37 mm Weight 450g CPU Ryzen 7 8745HS (8 cores, 16 threads, 16MB L3 cache, 3.8 - 4.9 GHz, TDP: 45 W) cTDP: 35-54W (Default 45W) Graphics AMD Radeon™ 780M Graphics 12 RDNA 3 Graphics Cores 2700MHz 768 shading units / stream processors (12 CUs), 48 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs NPU XDNA architecture (Up to 16 NPU TOPS) Memory 16GB Dual-channel Crucial DDR5-5600MT/s SODIMM (up to 64GB) Storage 1TB NVMe M.2 (PCIe Gen 4.0 x4) Operating System Windows 11 Pro Bluetooth Bluetooth v5.2 Wireless LAN Wi-Fi 6E Kensington Lock No SD Card reader Yes (left side) Adapter 120W, 6.32A, 19V Power Adapter Front I/O Ports 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A 1 x 3.5mm front stereo headset jack Rear I/O Ports 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A 1 x USB 4 Gen 3 Type-C with Power delivery up to 15W (5V 3A) 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A 2 x HDMI 2.0b 1 x 2.5G RJ45 LAN 1 x DC-in Deal Price $519 (buying links below) GEEKOM has two configurations of the A8, with the only difference being the slightly less-powerful Ryzen 7 CPU with half the storage (1TB) and DDR5 memory (16GB). This knocks $350 off the price compared to the $999 Ryzen 9 configuration. In both instances, a Windows 11 Pro license is also pre-loaded. As I said previously, this appears to be an update on the A7 with the only difference being the newer CPU. The packaging has changed quite a bit from the A7. Instead of dark colors, now the box is completely white, and the foam cushion has been replaced by a cardboard mould that the A8 sits in, above a small envelope that contains a thank you card and booklet that has guidance on all of the controls, how to access the A8 to swap out the SSD or memory, and safety information in several European languages. Upon removing the cardboard mould, you can find another cardboard compartment that contains the power lead, HDMI cable, VESA plate, and a bag of screws. What’s In The Box 1 x A8 Mini PC 1 x Power Adapter 1 x HDMI Cable 1 x VESA plate and bag of screws 1 x Envelope with booklet and Thank you card Unlike the A7, the VESA mount option is back with the A8.
