I find it amusing you've been playing the game five times more than anyone else and you're complaining about having to win games

Me? Five times more than anyone else? IN THE WORLD? Hardly! Not sure you were addressing me, but i'm not really complaining, just saying

Dont get me wrong I love the fact there are challenges which make each gen different but give me 100 goosers over a 100 wins. I only say this because I dont get as much time to play as I would like. Love the game though..

I figure pretty much anyone at gen 8 has played more than five times most anyone else, but I don't have the stats in front of me.

From around gen 4, your ranking up so fast because of the gen xp boost. At gen 8 it takes about 20 games to hit rank 50.

Do we have to buy the expansion to get that? I been in matchmaking for 3 minutes now.

Reason why i dont play this game anymore and havent since a month after release.

Your post got me excited, so i decided to try. :(

Nope it should be via the recent title update. No need for any of the expansion packs.

The update should complete before you can start the game.

Dude who are you talking to? Pusska or me? :|

I used to be anti-quoting, but then i realized it makes for poor posting!

And i'm Gen 4 dammit!

No other challenges require you to win games. It's kinda stupid because even if you're good and get MVP quite often like I do (or did until I stopped playing once getting to 8), your chances of winning are still only 50-50 because of the rest of your team. So it'll take 200 matches to win 100, which is just grinding and not particularly satisfying.

The perils of multiquote from different pages ooooooo

I haven't even had to wait to get in a match since it came out, except maybe half a minute once.

Meh, I'll still take that over rodeo kills. I'm on the winning team about 70 percent of the time if I remember correctly -- but rodeo kills are just going out of your way to play poorly, IMO.

Rodeo kills are easy: Get LMG, get Slammer mod (not entirely necessary, but you can kill a full health Titan with a full clip I believe), destroy all Titans :P

Not sure what's poor about that, though trying to use any other weapon to rodeo kill is probably a poor choice.

LMG with Slammer takes out a Titan in literally 2 secs. Even if they release the smoke it will be so fast that you can get it to nuclear and jump off before smoke reaches you.

Thanks man, that challenge hasn't come up for me yet, it's too bad relevant actions don't count towards challenges BEFORE the challenges go active. Then again that would have made them sort of pointless!

I know how to rodeo kill, my point was it's not a very tactically efficient method when there are far better options that are less likely to get you killed.

Agree, it's a nice touch that was added for the thrill factor. Lurking and letting rip with the Archer is much wiser, rodeos are a surefire way to get splattered.

Eh, you just need to be able to get on, get off, and disappear quickly. You shouldn't be running on the ground after a titan to try and rodeo it :P I find it more effective than antititan weapons quite often, but again only with the lmg.

Get on, get off, and disappear quickly is a specialty of mine, so should be easy to do :)

It's especially great if you can jump on, get them to waste their smoke while you jump off and cloak, and then just get right back on while they can't smoke you out anymore

People have done this to me many times while i was the titan, flailing about helplessly as they mounted me again right after i blew my smoke...

It does require good timing and attention!

On the front page too but here's the next set of DLC being launched

Interesting read of the description of the new DLC but it talks about hijacking Titans. Not sure what to make of this.

^ Ignore that, apparently they meant rodeo. Shame

    • The GEEKOM A8 mini PC is 20% off (lower than Prime Day pricing) plus Huge Storewide Sale by Steven Parker GEEKOM is back with a deal on a variant of its A8 Mini PC powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 8945HS, which came out in 2024 with a TDP of just 45W, with a base clock of 3.8 GHz and a Turbo Boost of 4.9 GHz; although we never reviewed this variant, we did check out the Ryzen 9 version. As a reminder of what you get, below are the specifications for this Mini PC. GEEKOM A8 Dimensions 112.4 mm x 112.4 mm x 37 mm Weight 450g CPU Ryzen 7 8745HS (8 cores, 16 threads, 16MB L3 cache, 3.8 - 4.9 GHz, TDP: 45 W) cTDP: 35-54W (Default 45W) Graphics AMD Radeon™ 780M Graphics 12 RDNA 3 Graphics Cores 2700MHz 768 shading units / stream processors (12 CUs), 48 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs NPU XDNA architecture (Up to 16 NPU TOPS) Memory 16GB Dual-channel Crucial DDR5-5600MT/s SODIMM (up to 64GB) Storage 1TB NVMe M.2 (PCIe Gen 4.0 x4) Operating System Windows 11 Pro Bluetooth Bluetooth v5.2 Wireless LAN Wi-Fi 6E Kensington Lock No SD Card reader Yes (left side) Adapter 120W, 6.32A, 19V Power Adapter Front I/O Ports 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A 1 x 3.5mm front stereo headset jack Rear I/O Ports 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A 1 x USB 4 Gen 3 Type-C with Power delivery up to 15W (5V 3A) 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A 2 x HDMI 2.0b 1 x 2.5G RJ45 LAN 1 x DC-in Deal Price $519 (buying links below) GEEKOM has two configurations of the A8, with the only difference being the slightly less-powerful Ryzen 7 CPU with half the storage (1TB) and DDR5 memory (16GB). This knocks $350 off the price compared to the $999 Ryzen 9 configuration. In both instances, a Windows 11 Pro license is also pre-loaded. As I said previously, this appears to be an update on the A7 with the only difference being the newer CPU. The packaging has changed quite a bit from the A7. Instead of dark colors, now the box is completely white, and the foam cushion has been replaced by a cardboard mould that the A8 sits in, above a small envelope that contains a thank you card and booklet that has guidance on all of the controls, how to access the A8 to swap out the SSD or memory, and safety information in several European languages. Upon removing the cardboard mould, you can find another cardboard compartment that contains the power lead, HDMI cable, VESA plate, and a bag of screws. What’s In The Box 1 x A8 Mini PC 1 x Power Adapter 1 x HDMI Cable 1 x VESA plate and bag of screws 1 x Envelope with booklet and Thank you card Unlike the A7, the VESA mount option is back with the A8.
