Man of Steel sequel to feature Batman (and others) (2016)

I'm looking forward to seeing some footage of him as Batman. I want to see if it's a hit or miss.

Yeah I want to hate it really early on because the casting is atrocious but if I see footage it might change my mind completely

I'm secretly hoping it's going the way that the Joker casting went, haha :p

Finally saw Man of Steel. It is hands down the worst comic book movie I have ever seen. No hope for this one now.

The first movie was really weak but with the casting announced for the new one it's shaping up to be a better film. It would be difficult for it to be any worse.

I think that's a bit of a hyperbole, I mean most of these superhero films aren't all that. They are well produced, but I think you really have to like your overblown blockbuster action roller coaster films to get something from them.

That's why I said "comic book movies." To me this was maybe tad better than Transformers.

Has Ben Affleck filmed his first scene?

"I was walking out to the restroom before the game," said their source. "I ran into this very nice man who knew one of the players that were the extras on the Gotham home team. He said that Ben Affleck was indeed there. How does he know this? Because the extra he knew filmed a scene with Affleck earlier that day in the locker rooms before the crowd started arriving. He said the scene was about Bruce Wayne giving a motivational speech to the team!"

http://variety.com/2013/film/news/wonder-woman-to-appear-in-batman-superman-wbs-greg-silverman-addresses-rumors-1200749114/

There?s been plenty of buzz that Zack Snyder?s upcoming ?Batman vs. Superman? film will feature an appearance by Wonder Woman, and Greg Silverman, Warner Bros.? president of creative development and worldwide production, addressed the rumor Monday at the Variety Entertainment & Tech Summit.

When asked by Variety?s Claudia Eller whether the film would introduce other DC Comics superheroes, such as Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash, to reunite part of the Justice League, Silverman took the idea of Wonder Woman and ran with it.

?We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters and we love them,? Silverman said. ?Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it?s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.?

?Is she going to have her own separate movie or is she going to be a part of this?? Eller asked.

?We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that?s respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can,? Silverman said, dodging the question. ?So everything that has been speculated are things that we?ve thought about.?

Silverman also addressed the studio?s controversial casting of Ben Affleck as Batman ? fans even signed a petition urging Warner Bros. to remove Affleck from the film ? standing by Warner?s choice of the Oscar winner for the role.

?We knew going in that we had more information than the general public had,? he said. ?We knew what the take of the movie was, we knew what the character was going to be. We don?t take these decisions lightly. We thought about everybody ? brand new people, established people. Ben is the perfect guy to play this role.?

And although he didn?t give any details away about how Affleck?s character will interact with Henry Cavill?s Superman (?they both will be wearing suits, there are capes involved, there will be action, there will be excitement?), he did stress that Snyder and screenwriter David Goyer?s story will do both characters justice.

?They?ve crafted a great story,? he said. ?I mean, this is where it all comes from for us. It?s just a great story that involves these amazing characters.?

Watch them have Batman in EVERY other characters intro movies to some degree to make sure none of them are a box office flop. Batman = $$$, the others? Don't know really.

"The Batmobile is currently being designed and built by General Motors at the GM Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood. This is the same team who most recently designed and built the vehicles for TRANSFORMERS 4 with Michael Bay ? who was very hands-on and involved in the design/building process for the new Bumblebee Camaro. Anyway, back to the new Batmobile?
It will definitely NOT have a military look like The Tumbler from [Chris] Nolan?s ?Dark Knight Trilogy.?

"As of about four weeks ago, it was still ?pictures on the wall? ? meaning nothing had actually been built yet.

"An ?old Cadillac? will feature prominently in the film. When I remarked to my source that the Cadillac Sixteen concept car from a few years back looked a lot like a Batmobile, he stayed mum.

"Now this is pure speculation on my part, but I wonder if this ?old Cadillac? be the new Batmobile? Perhaps one is being retrofitted to be Batman?s ride in BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN? There are some interesting "old Cadillac" concept cars, including cars from the '40's, '50's, and '70s (I've attached pictures of some) that somewhat resemble various previous iterations of the Batmobile from comic books, television, and film. In recent years, there have also been several Cadillac concept cars (like the Aera and Thorium Fuel concepts) that fit the bill of a high-tech, supercar-style Batmobile (with some Bat-themed modifications, of course). After all, basing a Batmobile on an old concept car has precedent as the '1966 Batmobile' from the 60s BATMAN TV series was based on the 1955 Lincoln Futura."

Yeah I can see how the tumblr wasn't a crowd pleasure, hence  they need something to grab the mobs attention and monies!

Personally I loved the Tumbler. I even have a scale model of it. Can't wait to see the Batmobile from this movie though!

I acutally liked the Tumbler.

So did I, but I think the vast majority didn't like all of batmans gizmos being too militaryish

I think it made perfect sense in Nolan's Trilogy though. People not liking the military stuff Batman used in that Trilogy has no links with this film however. I think the quote in your previous post just meant that it's years after his first few years and that that's why it won't look so 'primitive'.

I know know, We know that, but the public in general was like "wtf, that's that batmobile" :P

In that case, they didn't exactly understand why the Tumbler was the Batmobile then :p

Prepare for a way bulked up Affle?k. Jennifer Gardner was at an event and told a reporter her hubby is in the gym several hours a day and shoveling protein.

Affleck is a big dude to start with. If he does like Christian Bale did for Batman Begins, at 6' 4" he may well look more like Batman than any past actor.

    • So, recently, I saw on the news (yes, on this website) that Samsung is introducing features where it can provide education using AI-powered sets, and because of this, I got concerned about whether the AI gives out wrong info during education sessions, causing controversies in the process. What are your thoughts on this?
    • TCL's Bang & Olufsen soundbar is 40% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The TCL Design Series A65K is currently $299.99, down from $499.99. That's 40% off and $200 saved on a soundbar tuned by Bang & Olufsen, which is not a combination you'd normally expect at this price point (purchase link below). Bang & Olufsen doesn't typically show up in the sub-$500 category. The Danish audio brand is known for speakers that cost several times more, so having their acoustic tuning on a $300 soundbar is very appealing. TCL handles the hardware, B&O handles the sound engineering, and the result is what the company calls "accessible luxury." Still, accessible luxury isn’t full-fledged luxury, so don’t expect wonders. But this is a decent soundbar, nevertheless. The A65K is a true 3.1.2 channel system with nine physical drivers, including genuine up-firing height speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Many soundbars at this price simulate overhead effects through virtual processing, rather than actual hardware. So, you’re getting the real deal. The design is unusually slim for a system with Atmos compatibility. The bar is just under 2 inches deep and should fit beneath most TV screens. The wireless subwoofer is also compact at roughly 14 x 14 x 5 inches. Total output is 460W, and you can connect to the soundbar via HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, or USB. There are also eight sound modes through the TCL Home app and an AI calibration capability. Although it’s worth mentioning that AI capabilities in most of these devices are inconsistent, to say the least, and that shouldn’t be the biggest selling point. Still, at $299.99, the A65K is a strong buy for anyone who wants a soundbar that sounds and looks noticeably better than what this price range usually offers. And the Bang & Olufsen branding surely sounds nice - pun intended. • I sure hope the AI does not give out wrong info during education
