Man of Steel sequel to feature Batman (and others) (2016)

Those words mean a lot coming from Kevin Smith. As I understand it, he's a huge fan of Batman and wrote some comic books about that character (like Batman: Cacophony). Hell, he even named his daughter Harley Quinn after the comic book character. I'm really starting to get hyped up for this movie. I enjoyed watching Man of Steel and I have a strong feeling I'll enjoy the sequel even more.

He is beyond a fan. He has admitted on his smodcast shows a few times that he would dress in all black, with a Batman shirt and long trench coat and hang out on rooftops to "watch out for crime" LMAO. The man was in high school at the time LOL

He tried to live it LOL

My take on the suit is it should be armored. Not Robocop, obviously, but definitely designed for combat against armed criminals.

As for Kevin Smith, he's known for speaking his mind. If he thought what he's seen and heard was ###### he would have said so. I have a lot more faith in the movie now.

Not with Affleck attached. He'd say good thing about ANYTHING with Affleck attached.

I'm trying to imagine her with black hair. Of course, that's assuming she'll play Wonder Woman.

I'm not surprised.

Everyone assumes it's WW, because we figure they need to do this to lead into a future JL movie.... but...  We could be surprised and she could be someone else???   This long wait is torture, I want this movie NOW!

All these Tweets about the movie are still rumors if you ask me.

If they do this I rather have a Batman Beyond movie.

I take it you've only followed the TV series? Because there are plenty of Batman books where he's old and close to retirement etc.

I did! Don't get me wrong .. I didn't read any comics etc. So my knowledge itself is pretty low as you might have already noticed :D. But I would still get excited about a possible future type Batman. I liked the whole mentor dynamic and someone who wasn't robin / nightwing I guess.

I'd like to see a movie about Batman Beyond as well. But it seemed like you thought the idea of an older Batman looked stupid :p

Yeah I think the latest tweet I posted is from a guy who works for WB

Ah, fair enough. I just rather wait till we get an official plot before believing anything, haha.

Not at all!! I do like the idea! I guess Nolan's Batman really left an impression. I can imagine Bale or Affleck in an old persons mask sitting there and shouting at some kid to do the right thing! ; ) No sarcasm intended.

Fair enough :) And I'd rather see a different actor playing Bruce Wayne in a possible Batman Beyond movie, haha.

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
