The global warmers don't like hearing this, but hurricanes have a decades long cycle.

Firstly, "global warmers" is a ridiculous term and you only make yourself look foolish by using it; secondly, your premise is flawed. Those who are concerned about anthropogenic climate change are worried about the long term effects on the planet and humanity, not about the severity of hurricanes in a particular year or decade. If, as you claim, hurricanes occur in a decades long cycle?something predicted by climate science, which I'm sure you don't see the irony of?and those cycles are getting worse as a result of climate change then we can expect the next cycle to be more severe. Even if we weren't to see any hurricanes for the next twenty years that wouldn't diminish the concern for all the other phenomenon related to climate change.

Regardless of one's position on climate change there should be no disagreement over the fact that humans are consuming the resources of the planet at a completely unsustainable rate, wreaking havoc on the environment and endangering the future of the human race. We cannot continue to decimate the planet in the name of short-term economic gain. By not acting now we are only making the future impact more severe.

We don't have the technology to get to Pandora yet, to take its resources

No, seriously. Global warming is very probably happening. The reasons may or may not be fully natural - it's happening at an accelerated pace etc., or it doesn't and actually slows down or it cannot decide for itself and so needs a damn good kick in the head. So what? I honestly do not see the problem. If it happens, humans deserve it for many other reasons (like being p*icks towards each other in every way imaginable since the dawn of time). But before we found that out did we think we're going to live forever?

There are many other more straight-forward and scenarios higher up the list that nearly guarantee our imminent extinction. Nuclear holocaust, asteroid impact, GRB...

:| Wow. I simply cannot respond to a statement so entirely devoid of logic.

Anybody else read the title and start singing?

Where have all the hurricanes gone, and where are all the gods?

Where's the sky-wise tropical storms to fight the rising odds?

Isn't there a white light, a bolt of lightening...?

Late at night I toss and I turn, and I hate serenityyyyyyyyyy...

So, to summarize the thread: sensationalist and misleading title, climate change denialists trumpeting their credo even though it has nothing to do with the topic, and conspiracy theories that have nothing to do with the topic either. The topic? Hurricanes are a bit late this year.

Sigh.

what in the world does a condensation trail have to do with this?

It's not simply water -- it is powdered aluminum dust and other chemicals -- deliberately sprayed.

Some joker in the 90s, came up with the plan to reflect sunlight and lower the warming of the Earth.

And supposedly very warm weather is needed to power hurricanes.

Reduced sunlight = little or no hurricane activity.

Contrails are the 10 to 15 second trails that follow normal commercial aircraft. This is due to ice crystals forming within the vapor trails of normal jet engines. There is one catch with these being submitted as the cause for Chemtrails?they don?t last more than 45 seconds at a top estimate. Chemtrails never subside, and later wisp into cloud looking structures that are later mistaken for natural objects.

One of the most damning aspects of the evidence is that Chemtrails have been sampled globally, and in all cases have been found to contain at a minimum barium and aluminum oxide. If Chemtrails were created by any of the suggested means that are friendly to the environment, this wouldn?t be the case. Skies that have no Chemtrails do not drop barium or aluminum oxide particles. Samples have been taken from America, Australia, The Asian Pacific Rim, England, and Europe.

It is a scientific fact that the more foreign bodies that enter the blood stream the shorter a person?s lifespan will be. The reason is quite simple. Foreign bodies are dealt with by the immune system. The more one stresses the immune system, the faster one ages, and the more typical illnesses triumph over time. The human body always has cancerous cells that are being purged from the system. When the body is sidetracked flushing foreign particles the more those cancerous cells have a chance of succeeding. It is no mystery that cancer has become the world?s leading cause of death, and sometimes in phantom methods such as organ failure.

Rhetorical question, no need to answer.

Has no one noticed that the weather is still the same... only the seasons and weather has shifted by a month or three.

Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall, seem to all be off by a little bit... still happens, gets cold and hot, but the timing is off.

I have a hard time thinking man moved the seasons, therefore, I want to look into orbital shifts, and other celestial phenomenon, before I make a decision.

That said, if you don't think governments are doing things to try and ###### with the weather and water, you are the insane one. These things have been known and spoken about for decades, just like the surveillance schemes... and people laughed at them... only these are partially declassified already.

Obama announced the hurricane maker machines were going under maintenance and is why there's no hurricanes. Obama said the sun is going to be delayed also at sunrise for routine maintenance as well.

Weather has been really screwy. In Texas, August is usually our hottest month, yet it's starting to cool off already. I'm thinking this Winter will be pretty cold (for us).

I noticed this as well. This year it got hot earlier and cooling off earlier.

I know up here our drought from the last several years is receding (IIRC, I only started watching this year and can only compare a year back.)

Pretty neat.

Yeah, I'm sure the winters in Austin, Texas are brutal.

Well then maybe its just Georgia and maybe Alabama. Last week we had a few days were the highs were in the low 60's. Considering last summer we had a month of 95-100 degree temps and almost no rain, this is quite the change. Rain wise I think this whole summer we have had just 1 or 2 days a week where its not raining.

We hit record lows here too, been low 80s high 70's, usually its hotter than hell.

    • I like to reminisce about the good old days, way back in autumn 2025 when building a gaming machine was fun and the drives were about $150 when you caught a deal. Yes duh, back in the day we had it gone. Then baby Skynet came along, hiding in AI datacenters demanding more processing power until it reached singularity. End of a not totally fictional story.
    • My experience in the past with older Windows 11 builds was not great on unsupported machines but I recently used Rufus to put the latest build on a older 5th Gen Core Thinkpad T that we upgraded with a SATA SSD and 8GB of RAM four years ago when hardware was reasonable and it seemed pretty fast and solid. Customer is very happy with the performance and will probably get four more years out of that venerable laptop that he loves so much. Another customer just retired his Dell Studio laptop from 2009 running Windows 10. It got an SSD over 10 years ago and did everything he needed it to for 17 years but he also retired last year and is happy doing everything on his iPad now.
    • Apple's newest AirTag 2 gets first big discount by Taras Buria In late January 2026, Apple introduced its second-generation AirTag trackers, bringing a refresh to the old model that has been on the market for half a decade. Now, you can get these new trackers at an all-time low price, thanks to the first big discount that brought the price down by 17% on Amazon. While the second-generation AirTag looks identical to its predecessor, it packs meaningful upgrades inside. The second-gen ultrawideband chip works 50% farther than the original AirTag, allowing you to detect lost items in a wider range. In addition, the second-generation AirTag features an upgraded Bluetooth chip for extended range and a significantly louder speaker (up to 50%) so that you can hear it better when locating a lost item. Note that the second-gen AirTag only works with iPhones and iPads that run iOS/iPadOS 26 and newer, so you need a compatible device to use the tracker. Like the original AirTag, the AirTag 2 is available in two packs: one and four pieces. Both are now available at a notable discount on Amazon, and you can purchase them using the links below. • I've been on Deezer for over a decade, but glad that Tidal joined them in fighting AI slop. Can't stand such takes as Spotify's: "Spotify's CEO recently pushed back against listeners who call AI music "slop," urging people to stop using the term and instead embrace the creative potential of AI music."
    • “Could” … in the IS the healthcare is run by insurance companies that make indecent profits denying basic treatments to people that are paying money for nothing. Besides, where are all the Trump epigones who were stating that the tariffs were going to paid by foreign companies and not the US citizens? …
