If you take out the singing, it isn't that horrible. Also, I think it was Fallon (maybe Kimmel but I don't think so) who did a "cover" of Friday with Steven Colbert as a guest along with Taylor Swift and the Roots of course. And when she reupped it after all the stupid crap she got etc, I think that new video of Friday has something like 35 million or 25 million views. So whether that means people just couldn't help themselves and watched it like a car wreck on the side of the street - or alot of people really kinda dug it a bit and spread the word.
