hey man, well, theres a trick to do how i did it.

1st: the vs classix10k2.0 doesnt have a bottom border to the taskbar.

2nd: i created a wallpaper that just gradiates from the colour of the taskbar into the rest of the wallpaper.

thats how you get that effect. so technically there's a task'bar' there, but if anyone just looked at it it would LOOK like there were just floating start buttons, taskbar buttons and systray icons.

actually, for a while i didnt have any background (like the ff7 one i have on there now that i modded to create this effect) and it was still great.. but i was in a ff7 mood at the time i made the screenshot ;)

i think that SHOULD explain it but if not give me another shout.
