They lost me at a grey haired Arnie headbutting a helicopter.

I'll still see it though

you need to remember  that  That the Terminator  has living tissue over an exoskeleton  so based  on this film it ages as a human would .

Look  Skynet send  back a terminator to kill johns mother   and so  John accepts  Kyles   volunteering to go back and save her well  he sends him back  but  Nothing changes  john still remebers everything   so he then  sends back   reprogrammed   T Model 800   to  protect and Train a child Sahra Conner   and by the time Kyle   makes it to 1984 assuming that is the  year   in the new film  the Timeline has altered  and Changed

essentially John was trying to reboot himself by re-educating his own mother.

Oh, i understand that. It was more of the fact he jumped out of a helicopter to headbutt another helicopter.

The grey hair just looked silly.

It concerns me that they've gone to a lot of effort to stomp all over a lot of the same territory that the old (good) films already covered. The fact that everyone has been recast also irks me. It looks like a Terminator film crossed with a teen coming-of-age movie. Hopefully I'll be wrong, but I'm worried now. Arnold should have stayed out of this one :/.

Graphically though it looked very impressive.

Yeah it definitely won't be as good as T1 and T2 but I will still probably enjoy it for what it is... a bit like robocop 1 and the reboot, robocop 1 is one of my all time favourite films but.... I also loved the new robocop for its own reasons.

Heck, it can't be any worse than T3!!!! :p

That's what I thought about AvP2 :P

Eh, T3 was a fine action movie though a fairly mediocre Terminator movie. It's certainly better than 4 was. That 15 minute long (give or take a few minutes lol) car chase with the TX controlling those cars remotely and Arnold chasing in a bike then a firetruck - was worth the price of admission alone. Epic chase scene. Almost on par with the car chase in Matrix 2.

Ugh why can't they leave Terminator alone. Don't get me wrong it'll be good to have arnie 'back' for one last time but they're grinding these movies into the ground :(

If the reboot follows the story of the originals, then I'm not interested in seeing the same 1984 movie with todays actors. I'd rather see a different take on the 1984 movie.

That's so wrong and yet says it so correctly.  I was thinking the exact same thing.

So you agree with me

Off topic and sorta on topic,

Can anyone tell why, why the heck doesn't skynet just send a bazillion killer machines and end it? why send one by one?

hopefully this will be the last one, if not someone needs to do a Format c: /u - a low level format, or pull the plug and make sure it has no UPS, cus seriously this ###### is getting old, trailer makes it look watch able, but I doubt I would drop the sort of cash that is required at a cinema now a days

If I read and heard the trailer right they are maybe gonna stop Judgement day all together so yeah it very well could and prob is the last one.

bazillion machines does not equal a trilogy! Once the machines actually take over, they'll add your comment to their code and do just that. You'll live forever as the architect of mankinds demise. Kudos to you sir!

On Topic: The trailer looked interesting (http://youtu.be/62E4FJTwSuc), but... I think I could have done with the line.

Yup in terms of action, T3 was very good but everything else about it was bad imo

- the guy playing john connor was awful, just came across as a weakling and his future wife/GF was terrible too

- the humour i.e. the sunglasses and talk to the hand sort of things had no place in a terminator film

Personally I loved T4! :p Although I was hoping for more of the future like we seen in T1, T2 and T3 flashbacks :(

I think what irks me is this whole pseudo "darkness" they try to portray in a brightly coloured, glossy movie.

The thing with T1 and T2 was the chilling impending doom that cloaked everything. This is what was lacking from T3 and T4 (even though i liked it) didn;t paint the fall of humanity to the machines to be quite as grim as T1/T2 made us imagine it to be. One of those examples of leaving something for the imagination to terrify you with.

    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.
