I took advantage of Dead Space but found it too difficult to play - the cursor movement was "jagged" and nothing I changed in settings made it feel comfortable. I don't have the best game rig, not even a good one, but I play Left for Dead 2 absolutely fine, so I guess its a bug or something.

Awesome that Battlefield 3 is available. Heads up, its 20GB so will probably have to leave it overnight.

I realize that this is a few days late but to fix that you just have to turn off vsync in game and then turn it on through your graphics drivers software.

Okay, just to be sure, is that the "wait for vertical refresh" in the AMD catalyst control center? I've added Dead Space as a new profile and put that to "always on".

^ it's the original one.

I imagine they hope you'll enjoy the first one so much that you'll be enticed to purchase the second one.

It's still a good game, though have had my fill on X1 with Peggle 2. Which will likely be next months Games with Gold entry for X1 :s

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was added too.

And semi related, SimCity (5) now has a 4 hour SP demo available.

Meanwhile in the overnight, Battlefield 4 gives way to Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for the weekend.  (The Game of the Year version of the original was featured in On the House in June - so the comparing is easy.)

Garden Warfare is super fun, so I recommend anyone who hasn't played it to try it out.

And it's using the Frostbite engine (same engine used by the Battlefield franchise) - should it be called the Warfare Engine?

Bejeweled 3 is the latest On the House game.  It's free until October 28.

    • Dude get a clue, LTSC is Enterprise, not even legal for consumers, and ESU is not mainstream support cycle, just an extended security updates period.
    • Nvidia is your issue more so than linux itself. I did used it for a while with an old 1060 3gb, but using propietary drivers was kind of messy.
