Update 1 on Technet

As a TechNet subscriber, I've just spotted that ISOs for Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2 with Update 1 included are now available for download.

A zipfile (360MB and 770MB for x86 and x64) of the update is also on there and it contains the individual patches plus a text file giving the order of installation.

 

SQL 2014 is also available for download.   The express editions of this are also now on the standard Microsoft download centre.

Does update 1 accept 8 keys during install?

warwagon, it shows my existing 8.1 product keys next to the ISOs for the versions that include the update.  Not tried a clean install yet.

Anyone can confirm if Win8 keys will work on the Win8.1 Update one install via clean install, please post back.

The update doesn't require a key, and the ISO w/update uses the same keys at 8.1. I have not performed an install I'm just going by the fact that the downloads list existing keys and the update only requires no key.

I did a clean install of  8.1 with the generic key. You have to use a retail key to activate it. Cant see why it wouldnt work with 8.1 update 1

You need a subscription with a dload link from technett/msdn to dload it
