gimme some arguments of the X-Box -over the PS2- please?  ;)

you asked for it :p

  • xbox CPU is 733mhz, ps2 is only 300mhz
  • xbox has twice the amount of ram (64mb instead of 32mb)
  • xbox GPU is 233mhz, ps2 is 150mhz
  • xbox memory bandwidth is twice as much (6.4GB per sec compared to 3.2GB per sec)
  • xbox can draw four times the amout of polygons per second (300 million compared to 75 million)
  • xbox comes with a hard drive, ethernet, and four controller ports, ps2 just recently got the hard drive and ethernet, and you need to buy a multi tap to get more than 2 players
  • xbox can have 256 audio channels, ps2 is limited to 48
  • xbox has HDTV support, up to 1080i. ps2 has none
  • xbox is capable of surround sound, ps2 is not
  • the xbox is easier to code for than the ps2

also, IMO: xbox games consistently look better than ps2 games. not all of them do, but most look better to me. however, this is a matter of opinion, and we could argue this point to no end...

well i think it depends on the games the system has and what u really wanna play...

im a final fantasy fan so i'd go w/ the playstation cause they have those type of games.....

i have a gamecube right now....

im happy but i still gotta get a playstation.....

the new final fantasy looks soo good....

i'm a final fantasy fan too, and i have a ps2 specifically for them :) but most of the other games i like are on xbox...

as for final fantasy looking good, i don't like ff11, and ffx-2 seems to be turning into a "hot chicks" game. i like ff 6-9, and 4 & 5 are kinda fun and nostalgic, but the others don't interest me that much anymore :/

the only thing i'd want a gamecube for is super monkey ball  and maybe mario party or something, but nothing big...

tru but the graphics look nice.....

i still haven't played X...

i dunno about 11 but i always liked the storylines especially the ones from 7 - 9 and nintendo ones....

yea and mario kart from gamecube...!!!....its more a play with other ppl system

but yea ic what u mean also...

Please don't turn this into a Console X is better than Console Y thread.

the convo wasn't even going in that direction so i dunno where ur coming from....

gameguy gave the specs of both the systems and pointed out that xbox is better in hardware

and i just said that it also depends on what type of games u like and to go w/ that...

I still dont see any solid source, I hardly see costco working for Microsoft

Nothing has been comfirmed or released by Bungie and 4/4/2004 is a Sunday so that date is definately bogus, sorry guys but this isnt true

Yep. There's no confirmation even on the Bungie site, so I think it is false :D

i was rather disappointed with ffx. i mean, it had its fun parts like everything else (blitzball, what else... dunno ) but the voices were too different from a ff game for me, and i think they could have done better with the character models...

<rant> to hell with microsoft and their pos X-box. What good is a FPS without a keyboard and mouse?!?!? And the Framerape!!</rant> Halo was good though.......on PC. It would be even better if they'd realease it for PC and X-box at the same time, getting buyers from both areas. But no....can't do that.....Windows costs more than an X-box but they want all your money so they'll make you get both.

    • Dude, it's a .reg away from a permanent modification. If you're a power user, look it up and keep the .reg and stop being a crybaby expecting MS to include customization for everything on a generalist OS. The default is what's the best UX for the majority of the userbase, non techie people.

    • Studio MDHR reveals Cuphead sequel and an 8-bit platformer spin-off by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Studio MDHR has been rather silent about its next major gaming project since the release of Cuphead back in 2017. However, that ended today during the Summer Game Fest presentation, with the studio revealing not one but two project announcements. First, the studio confirmed that it is currently in the middle of developing a brand-new Cuphead game, bringing back the iconic characters for another adventure. Just like the last game, this is slated to be a fully hand-animated endeavor. This also means there isn't a release date attached to it yet. “Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do here at Studio MDHR,” says co-founder Chad Moldenhauer. “When it came time to peel back the curtain and share a little bit about what we’ve been up to, we couldn’t imagine a more fun way to do so than with today’s Special Bulletin. The studio is working on this new Cuphead with help from Toronto’s Stop Motion Department and Continue Agency. At the same time, Studio MDHR also revealed that another part of the team has been working on a different Cuphead installment. Dubbed the Mighty Cuphead Adventure, this is taking a different art direction to the original. "In true Studio MDHR fashion, this game goes beyond just taking inspiration from the classics of the 1980s… it is actually built with technology of the era," the studio explained. "That's right: Mighty Cuphead Adventure is programmed in assembly language and designed with the exacting specifications of the Sega Master System home gaming console in mind." Aside from releasing on PC and modern consoles, Mighty Cuphead Adventure will even be playable on the 1985-released Sega Master System. A release date has not been announced just yet.
    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.
