Nothing happens when I connect my Lumia 1520

When I connect my Lumia 1520 to my Windows 8.1 PC nothing happens. The PC doesn't recognize any device being connected, and there are no unknown devices shown in Device Manager.

 

The phone does, however, charge when connected, and other devices work when connected via USB. I've tried multiple ports both 2.0 and 3.0. My old Lumia 520 worked fine when I plugged it in.

 

I also opened the Windows Phone App for Desktop with it connected and it doesn't show anything.

Restart the phone or PC. It happens often with me too. The Windows Phone app is just plain ****.
