This has to be the best ever music video.

 

I think it was 1975 when I was 6, it was on a show called 'The Old Grey Whistle Test'.

 

They usually played in front of University Student audiences.

 

Lynyrd Skynrd Freebird.

 

 

Even as a 6 year old it made me funkeeee!

It really struck a chord with me when it came out. It still does actually.

Awesome performance of an awesome song, no doubt.  The Old Grey Whistle Test was a great show and the archives are worth a watch.

 

Is that actually a music video?  I mean a music video tends to refer to the filmed, directed promos that (for example) Michael Jackson spent untold money on.

He did sledge hammer too, which I liked.

'Sledgehammer' is more widely known, sure. Yet 'Digging In The Dirt' is the better song with a better video.
