Battlefield: Hardline (cops vs. thieves) leaks [Everything ever about the game leaks]

Possibly called Battlefield: Havana (purely speculative)?

Very disappointed it's cross-gen but unsurprising.

Update 1: Some details

Yeah it's probably the rumored SWAT themed BF game. I've found quite a lot of info...

EDIT1: The code-name is apparently Omaha.

EDIT2: Possible game modes: TDM, Turf War (Small and Large), Heist and Blood Mooney.

EDIT3: Possible teams: SWAT, Thieves, "LW" and "CR".

EDIT4: The game is pretty much ready for E3, Heist and Blood Mooney will be playable on the map High Tension (MP_Downtown).

EDIT5: I believe Commander mode will be available too.

EDIT6: Possible "classes" (maybe they're just loadouts): Enforcer, Mastermind, Techincian and Professional. There should be vehicles too.

EDIT7: Possible in-game store where you can buy weapons and accessories (hopefully ala CounterStrike).

EDIT8: There will be the police baton ("The police baton is used in melee combat to deter wrongdoes from bad behavior.")

Visceral basically confirmed:

Battlefield Hardline, you heard it here first :)

I found a youtuber that went to San Francisco recently who has been adding battlefield hardline to his video tags. I dont really want to name names because I dont want to drop anyone in it but anyway thats how I came up with that name.

A number of them went by the way xFactor, LevelCap and JackFrags to name but a few and none of them have said why yet. You can bet they saw something they cant talk about yet my guess is this is it. I wasn't sure based on the YouTube tags until this picture now I'm certain.

Sounds interesting but after Battlefield 4 no more Battlefield games for me.

Same. The game sounds like Battlefield in a PayDay skin, which could be good but it's still a Battlefield game. I'll wait to see what kind of fallout this game has before I jump in.

I still haven't bought Battlefield 4 yet due to all of the technical problems. This game would need a near perfect launch to convince me DICE/EA have learned their lesson.

If they absolutely have to continue releasing Battlefield games (and, of course, they do), it's just fair that they lay off Modern Warfare for a while.

While true, I'm surprised they didn't go back down the 2142 route, especially with the BF4 DLC paying homage to it.

PayDay is quite a nich? game. Not sure how much success they'll have, even with the BF name.

Cops vs. Robbers? Meh. Breaching and grappling hooks are the only things that look vaguely interesting.

Battlefield: World War I would be quite interesting, though I cannot in any way imagine how it'd actually work.

I can just imagine Assault mode  = trench mode = machine gun camping vs. mortars.

That leaked trailer does absolutely nothing to reduce my feeling of "meh".

"Whether fighting in World War II, Vietnam, the distant future or the modern day; fans have come to expect one thing when they hear the word battlefield: all out warfare"

So apparently cops vs. robbers = all out warfare.  :/

...goes off to partake in some more tank battles in BF3

I don't know about this... All I kept thinking about when watching the trailer is 'CoD', seems very 'CoD', where Battlefield in the past has been about actual warfare, this seems like it want's to be more like 'CoD'. :/

Really? Seems more like Battlefield mixed with Counter-Strike to me (along with Kane & Lynch's multiplayer).

    • I wonder how many are laid off for cost savings, and this being blamed on AI to make it sound less scary and bad, for a more positive "modern, with the times" spin for investors? Because Oracle is down 14% the past year. We're looking at a company struggling here. If AI would actually be working out so well for them that they can do massive layoffs, surely this would've been reflected the past year in their stock value?
    • AI is the beginning, wait until real robots replace more jobs, specifically jobs that require physical work.
    • AI is indeed eliminating jobs, and Oracle just proved it by Hamid Ganji There’s no question that AI has become the hottest trend in workplaces, and every company is trying to adopt AI-driven solutions across its operations. While some industry leaders repeatedly say AI won’t lead to massive layoffs, recent data suggest that AI is actually one of the main reasons some companies are reducing their workforce. According to Oracle’s annual regulatory filing, the company has laid off about 21,000 employees, or 13% of its workforce, amid increasing AI adoption. “The adoption and deployment of AI technologies across our operations have resulted, and may continue to result, in reductions to our workforce,” Oracle said in the filing. The software giant now has approximately 141,000 full-time employees, a notable decrease from 162,000 during the same period last year. Restructuring expenses, including severance payments, cost Oracle $1.84 billion in fiscal 2026. Additionally, around 49,000 Oracle employees were based in the U.S., while approximately 92,000 were employed internationally. Like many other companies, Oracle has fully embraced AI and concentrated much of its efforts on the technology. The company is also a key participant in the United States’ $500 billion Stargate Project, which aims to build multiple AI data centers across the country. When it comes to AI adoption and its impact on the workforce, opinions remain divided. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, whose company has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI boom, recently said in an interview that attributing job cuts to AI is a “lazy” narrative. “The narrative that connects AI to job loss, for many of the CEOs that are doing it – it is just too lazy. AI has just arrived, how is it possible they're already losing jobs?” Huang said. However, statistics and recent reports tell a different story. According to Layoffs.fyi, 196 tech companies have laid off about 119,800 employees so far this year. Reducing staff and replacing roles with AI agents could become one of the most significant trends in the job market in the years ahead.
