Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

I don't see why it's hard to understand, kryptonite levels the playing field in a fight vs superman.  There's also a few other things, like the power suit Batman uses, it ups his strength a good bit so that his hits have some effect on Superman.

You guys can just youtube the dark knight returns fight, it's up there, you can see how it goes down yourselves.

Looks like Batman would have snapped his neck after Superman took the mask off.

I don't know if I'll see this in theaters or not.

Doesn't mean the fight or much of anything else will play out the same in the movie.  Just because they're borrowing elements/looks doesn't mean the fight or it's reasons are going to be the same, I really doubt they will be.

Looks like a normal part of the blighted zones except for the sign. Easy work for the staging crews.

couldn't think of a better place to show depict a crime ridden, run down, hopeless city like Gotham than by using Detroit.

Yeah, Chicago too good to act as a rundown Gotham, silly Nolan.  :P

Actually, Detroit doesn't have the skyline to fill in for what they show Gotham as, at least not from what I remember of it.  They can just add buildings I guess, Hollywood magic and all that.

Not trying to knock the city, it's fine but I don't think it's a good match for Gotham if that's the goal.

Set Report

* ?Aquaman? is indeed in the film and there was some sort of film test on a water set recently. The character has a very small role in the BvS.

* The car chase scenes that will take place this coming weekend will not, most likely, include the Batmobile. Those pics online of Ben Affleck (sporting very gray hair on his temples) as Bruce Wayne involve a scene in the film where he?s saving people after some sort of attack on Metropolis which causes a lot of destruction.

* There?s a very ?anti-Superman? theme to the film which includes people marching in protest against him.

According to Devin Faraci at Badass Digest, when DAWN OF JUSTICE opens, Batman will have been patrolling the streets of Gotham for close to 30 years, and will still be little more than an underworld nightmare. There are stories and rumors, but he does his work under cover of darkness and is certainly not out in the open. He?s never even really been photographed. So for the people of Gotham, he is little more than a fantasy.

Some recent photos emerged from the set, revealing Affleck as an older version of Bruce Wayne, complete with greying temples.

So much DC, I feel happy now, I've never been as big of a Marvel fan (outside of Wolverine) as I am a Batman fans and just DC in general.

The timing between BvS and the next one in August is interesting, wonder what it is.  At this point my bet is on a WW movie though, she's the one who needs something more to help flush out the trinity since BvS is going to be mostly about the other 2 as we expect.

That would probably leave a Flash and new Green Lantern movie as the two in 2017, unless the first one in 2017 is a team up flash+GL movie (hard to say if either of them can carry a movie on their own, specially with how bad the last GL movie did) which if that's the case then the 2nd movie in 2017 could be MoS2?

Lionel Luthor or Thomas Wayne?

Hard to say, at first guess I'd go with Thomas Wayne, but then I don't know much about how Lionel Luthor should look (haven't read much superman compared to all the batman I've seen).

hopefully one of the untitled DC filmes is Justice League.

It's safe to say that 1 of those films is definitely a JL film! :D Perhaps the one from 07/27/18 which a perfect date for such a film.

    • For a guy who claims to hate Farage and the ignorant, gullible, rightwing racist skinheads sponsored by Putin that his lies represent, you sure are quoting them time and time and time again, mate. I guess you're conveniently ignoring the fact that your country and commonwealth just happened to work much better when it was still part of the E.U.? Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.
    • Do you live in the U.K? Do any of the people here that are against the UK leaving the E.U, live in the U.K? If not then why are you bothered? If you do live here then it is a different thing . Brexit was a good idea, should have done it years before, it was done badly, but the idea was good. You are saying the same thing as remainers do, oh we did what Putin wanted, we listened to the lies and Farage. I hate Farage and never believed most of what he said, certainly did not believe the £350m a week for the NHS. But we did pay a lot of money to the E.U and yes some of it came back, but what is the point of paying it out for only some of it to come back? Get out of the E.U, no money to them and in theory we can use the money to do things in the country. I said in theory, but our governments are a total and complete waste of space. No matter what colour rosette they wear. You and others say it was a mistake and yet the two main parties in the U.K are not looking at rejoining the EU, I wonder why that is? I was not tricked by anyone. Makes no odds now, we are out and have been for 10 years, what we need is a decent government to run the country. All they do is shout at each other like a load of kids and seems to do nothing and make this country more into a police and nanny state. Getting more like China all the time.

    • Yeah... The root of my comment, ostensibly, is how to spin the story via the actual technical merits of the solution! * Decentralized (aka federated) solution with built-in encrypted ephemeral message transport, * Transport via Relays (intermediary servers) with no message archival, * Second configurable pathway are actual email servers (if DNS records are programmed accordingly) via IMAP protocols carriage, * "Chat-over-Email" is the design pattern adopted; it can either leverage full-blown Email Server (must use the INBOX folder) to exchange all received messages/edits/reactions (so be weary of notifications overloads) [best practice is creating a separate email acct used explicitly for federated chat purposes!] or leverage its built-in Relay Server mechanism which actually resides on-device (by default but can be configured otherwise), * By virtue of be a decentralized/federated model, all other intermediary servers who may pass-along messages (while the recipient's final relay/device is inaccessible) cannot snoop on the messages due to the encrypted nature of contents. The intermediaries may, however, analyze the metadata due to the simple fact that routing mechanisms require hints for relay destinations. Unfortunately, whomever is posting about DeltaChat across socials are misleading with "zero metadata" claims -- especially when the Relays (according to their own technical documents) mandate the addition of chat-version metadata and other decorations in order to actually transport any message. -- Based on this summary, I'd prefer if they'd better dual-path message transport (email server add-in, federated relay engine) rather than patch-on email protocols to existing federated social media frameworks. They're frankensteining something rather than extending widely-deployed technology stacks.
