Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Well, that is exactly what it is, a prequel to the Justice League film. But calling it a Justice League film is kinda misdirecting because the Justice League isn't in it nor is it formed yet. And most of it's members are only cameo roles in this film.

Superman and Batman are of course the main characters. Then you get the prominent characters from both of their worlds (Alfred, Lois, Lex, etc.) who will all have a significant role in this film as far as I can tell. Then you get Wonder Woman and Aquaman, who'll have a significant role in this films as well. And after that you get the other members, Cyborg etc, who'll only have cameo roles in this film.

So imo it pretty much is a film about Batman and Superman in DC's Cinematic Universe, before they're forming the Justice League. The title of the film also tells us that it's a prequel to the Justice League film, like you said, and not actually a Justice League film.

Everyone is free to have their own interpretation of course, but calling it a Justice League film is misdirecting imo :p

Nonsense! It's about the formation of the Justice League, focusing primarily on the big three, and is therefore a Justice League film :P

On a serious note, I look at it as being in line with Justice League War, since they're not a team until the end of the movie. That's my interpretation and I'm sticking with it! X-D

The difference between Justice League War and Batman v Superman is that the former was about ALL the members that would be in the team, and we saw how they all got together. It was about how the Justice League was formed, that's not what Batman v Superman is going to be about. This film is primarily only about Batman and Superman's first encounter. And we know that Wonder Woman is in it but not to what extend, same goes for Aquaman. I do think that Wonder Woman will have a somewhat big role in this film, but I'm still seeing this as a setup for the Justice League film, and not an actual JL film because they're not teaming-up nor are they forming any team.

Yeah, I don't think Scoot McNair is Nightwing at all! Some people are now saying that he might play Flash.

Yeah that would fit Flash with his green screen

'The Flash' WILL Be In BATMAN V SUPERMAN, But Don't Expect A 'Green Lantern' Cameo

Set photos of Scoot McNairy wearing some green socks for unknown CGI related reasons have led many to speculate that he's The Flash in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justcie. Well, a new report confirms that the Scarlet Speedster is in the movie, but Green Lantern won't appear until Justice League!

Badass Digest have been dropping a lot of superhero and Star Wars scoops recently, perhaps in a bid to give Latino-Review a run for their money. Either way, their report on Scoot McNairy and his snazzy green CGI socks offers up some possible details on the members of the Justice League who we will see assemble in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The site can't confirm either way whether the Argo star will indeed be playing Barry Allen (or even Wally West as Barry currently has his own TV series), but their sources apparently tell them that The Flash will indeed make an appearance in the movie, and that, "by the end of the movie we have a Justice League assembled that includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, The Flash." Wait a second, what about Green Lantern? His 2011 movie may have been a flop, but fans are expecting to see one of the ring wielders make an appearance in Batman V Superman or Justice League. Well, according to those same sources, we won't see a Green Lantern until Zack Snyder's Justice League, while that is a little disappointing, it's likely because they want to spend a decent amount of time reintroducing the character.

Sounds good, GL being held off on till the JL movie is fine, IMO, because if it's a huge galactic threat that targets earth then it's not only a good way to bring the JL together as a team but to also introduce GL again, you know, space security force and all that.

Now The Flash is going to be in the movie? Sounds more and more like a JL movie to me...

Some people say that the JL will be formed at the end of the film. It very much still is about Batman and Superman, with the other JL members as side characters. The beginning (dawn) of their team-up.

Yeah, that's probably likely, but at some point it's too much, and it starts to detract more than it adds.

It's easy saying that without knowing anything about the script though. It has been said that Cyborg's role will be minor, so Flash's role might as well be. I think it'll all be balanced out perfectly and that it's a proper Batman v Superman film.

yea, I've always felt big superhero mashups do that anyway. At least with this film they'll probaby just be minor cameo roles for most of these characters.

    • Do you live in the U.K? Do any of the people here that are against the UK leaving the E.U, live in the U.K? If not then why are you bothered? If you do live here then it is a different thing . Brexit was a good idea, should have done it years before, it was done badly, but the idea was good. You are saying the same thing as remainers do, oh we did what Putin wanted, we listened to the lies and Farage. I hate Farage and never believed most of what he said, certainly did not believe the £350m a week for the NHS. But we did pay a lot of money to the E.U and yes some of it came back, but what is the point of paying it out for only some of it to come back? Get out of the E.U, no money to them and in theory we can use the money to do things in the country. I said in theory, but our governments are a total and complete waste of space. No matter what colour rosette they wear. You and others say it was a mistake and yet the two main parties in the U.K are not looking at rejoining the EU, I wonder why that is? I was not tricked by anyone. Makes no odds now, we are out and have been for 10 years, what we need is a decent government to run the country. All they do is shout at each other like a load of kids and seems to do nothing and make this country more into a police and nanny state. Getting more like China all the time.

    • Yeah... The root of my comment, ostensibly, is how to spin the story via the actual technical merits of the solution! * Decentralized (aka federated) solution with built-in encrypted ephemeral message transport, * Transport via Relays (intermediary servers) with no message archival, * Second configurable pathway are actual email servers (if DNS records are programmed accordingly) via IMAP protocols carriage, * "Chat-over-Email" is the design pattern adopted; it can either leverage full-blown Email Server (must use the INBOX folder) to exchange all received messages/edits/reactions (so be weary of notifications overloads) [best practice is creating a separate email acct used explicitly for federated chat purposes!] or leverage its built-in Relay Server mechanism which actually resides on-device (by default but can be configured otherwise), * By virtue of be a decentralized/federated model, all other intermediary servers who may pass-along messages (while the recipient's final relay/device is inaccessible) cannot snoop on the messages due to the encrypted nature of contents. The intermediaries may, however, analyze the metadata due to the simple fact that routing mechanisms require hints for relay destinations. Unfortunately, whomever is posting about DeltaChat across socials are misleading with "zero metadata" claims -- especially when the Relays (according to their own technical documents) mandate the addition of chat-version metadata and other decorations in order to actually transport any message. -- Based on this summary, I'd prefer if they'd better dual-path message transport (email server add-in, federated relay engine) rather than patch-on email protocols to existing federated social media frameworks. They're frankensteining something rather than extending widely-deployed technology stacks.
    • Decentralized search result anonymization...
    • Russia invaded Crimea, so not sure what you are getting at. Are you saying that the E.U is like what the USSR was? What is wrong with wanting control over your own country? i bet Trump would not stand by and allow Canada to control the U.S.
