Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

There's quite a few easter eggs in the trailer. Red Son Batman for starters, a Robin costume covered by Joker graffiti for another. At least I think it was a Red Son reference and pretty sure it was a Robin costume I saw :D

Either way, that was a really good trailer. Gal Gadot (I think that's how you spell her name) looked great as WW and I thought Jessie Eisenberg was fine as Lex, especially with how they are portraying him in the movie. As usual since I'm old and stuff, I don't have any problem with Affleck as Batman. Hell I remember when Keaton was cast as Batman and everyone went ape ###### and that was before the internet. Now everyone loves Keaton as Batman.

Also, that last scene they show with Batman rising out of the Batmobile and standing toe to toe with Superman - epicness.

He'll probably be bald by the end of the movie...hopefully.

I've been working on my own version of Superman in comic form and that's how I went about making him bald and hating Supes. He's basically infected with kryptonite in my version and requires round the clock medical care, mostly blood transfusions. He's actively trying to get Superman's blood to cure himself. I really should finish it one day. Drawing it was half the fun :)

Not impressed with the new trailer. I don't understand why Batman is old and yet Lex Luthor is young - it would have made more sense to cast Bryan Cranston, as Jesse Eisenberg looks out of his depth. The CGI is really poor

For a second I thought that was Nicolas Cage

Actually I am pretty sure that is Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Who was also in Watchman which was also directed by Zack Snyder.

I could very well be wrong but I am thinking he is playing Bruce Wayne father in a flash back when he and his wife were murdered.

So, I'm excited, I don't think Batman's age is an issue, I wouldn't put him in his 50s, I think he's a bit younger, while this does play homage to dark knight returns it's not that story, and I doubt it borrows anything from it other than the main fight, so batman shouldn't be as old as he is in that comic.  I think he's in his 40s, otherwise how do they keep doing batman movies after this?  He can't be too old, but can't be too young either, so 40s sounds good to me.

As for the story and WWs part in is and all that stuff, all I can do is guess at this time, but I'm thinking the government gets in bed with lex, some plan goes sideways, bigger threat comes up, after or in the middle of the batman v superman fight, which will have them team up and also brings in WW, so they should all be fighting the same enemy by the end.

I hate Zack Snyder's visual style. The shot with the rocket from this trailer looks like the one from the oil rig from Man of Steel. Incredibly fake. I don't get his need to add godawful CGI shots in movies that otherwise strive to have a gritty, realistic visual style. Either make a 300 or a Bourne, but for crying out loud, don't mix it up.

this... its just over stylized

I think the film will look great, it doesn't come out for another year, they're going to keep working on the CGI and other post-production work.   I think it looks great, then again I don't have a problem with Snyders style, it's his own, I can respect that.

That was indeed Jason Todd's Robin costume. And he looked like Red Son Batman, but even more like the Batman from Gotham by Gaslight. I like the fact that Ben Affleck is Batman a lot. It means that Batman is experienced so we'll be seeing him in much more dire situations than in previous movies.

And yeah, I had goosebumps throughout the whole trailer! :D

    • Ummmm that is what is it supposed to do. Just turn if off in settings if you do not want it analyzing your open tabs. Chrome does the same thing with Gemini. Sarfari will do the samething after Apple's AI and even more so with the release of their 27 versions that is now powered by Googles LLM/ML models. Understanding why it is doing it and how it can help you vs jumping to some conspiracy theroy is a much better approach. As long as it can be turned off, all is good. Yes the default should be off but the a lot of people would never discover these features.
    • Just another reason (aside from many others) not to use Edge. Firefox 153.0b5 DEx64 has a similar feature added recently in prior builds that I will turn off at some point when I get around to it. It's the new "Something looks suspicious" page that pops up here and there. It cleverly hides itself between web pages that I've actually visited; as a result, you know, of selecting a web page and telling the browser where to go. The interesting thing is that it does not produce these warnings from pages that I, as the only intelligent user of the browser in my system, have ever directed the browser to open! What seems to be happening is that the browser looks at all the goofy ad links on a web page I do actually open and selects one that "looks suspicious" and then creates the "something looks suspicious" web page, which is neatly inserted, as mentioned, between web pages my RB ("real brain") has directed the browser to load in a session. The thing is, I usually look at links I am considering to follow before I ask the browser to load them, and in cases I have noticed where the link does indeed look suspicious, most of the time I will choose to not follow the link at all. Doesn't everyone do this or something similar? I am picky about what I voluntarily load... (I don't like links that start off fine, with a site designaiton that seems normal enough but then is followed by indecipherable alphanumeric strings many, many lines long, etc. I tend to reject those because they look suspicious. They may not be, but I don't care... I'll stay with Firefox, of course, if for no other reason than they usually let you turn off the junk you don't like. And because it isn't Edge... But at some point Microsoft will come to realize that putting your bookmarks on the left side is a Good Thing for a lot of people, just as Microsoft discovered when it had the bright idea of nailing the Windows taskbar to the bottom of the screen, when for decades Microsoft browsers had left that placement up to the user. They have finally reversed the obscenity of that decision. Finally.
    • Google was using the old CATPCHAs data to train their LLMs. What is the say they won't use this camera data of users to train their LLM? these companies need some strict regulations!
    • Depends on what you need. Might be a bit clearer on what you plan to do with it. Sort of a waste if you get the newest and greatest, but don't know how to use it.
