Just curious of how others have their startmenu/desktop setup. Feel free to post it here!

That's a nice wallpaper, do you have it set to match your wallpapers color for the menu and taskbar?  It seems that way to me, or some nice color mixer settings.

Yep! Some walls give the startmenu an ugly color lol so sometimes I have to change it myself.

Is there any way to set a different wallpaper per virtual desktop, or even pre-configure the number of virtual desktops you start with?

I couldnt figure it :/ I dont think both of those features are in yet. Try reporting it in the feedback because I figure this would be obvious to MS

I am currently using the Start screen as I love the amount of options that it provides for application categorization. I want Microsoft's CEIP to show that desktop users also use the Start screen so that the option to use it will be retained in the final release.

I do like the new Start menu, especially the right-hand column with its Live Tiles, but I don't think there will be a Start menu in this release that beats the level of customization offered by Classic Shell.

I stumbled upon a way to make the Start Menu color different from the Taskbar / Window color.

1) In Personalization, click Color and choose the color you want for the Start Menu

2) Click on a Saved Theme

3) the Start Menu should retain the color you chose for it, and the Taskbar and Title bar should use the Theme color

e.g. black Start Menu and a grey Taskbar

    • Mac does nothing of the sort. You can change the default browser very easily it does not nag you and when you do this, it does not open something still in Safari....like Windows does with Edge.
    • I do not remember anything happening to Apple and Google for bribing people not to make Apps for Windows Phone. Edge barley has a foot print to matter. If the other browser companies want more of the Pie, they need to do better. I use Brave on all my personal device. However in industry, Edge of default, as we can manage it easier with MS tools.
    • On the one hand, it shouldn't be difficult. You buy a computer, you decide what OS you want, which browser etc. Simple enough. But that's the techie side of things. My sister, my mother, wouldn't bother with such a thought. And I'm pretty sure that if you presented a window asking them what to pick they would say, "I don't care! I just want to access my Email!"
