If would be great if people would join the Neowin Group

GROUP/LEAGUE: Neowin

hope to see more users there

I click the linkNeowin Group and got a dialogbox saying "The document contains no data.". Why?

BxBoy, you should get a 2nd rig going. That's what I've done. My uptime is from my Sony Vaio Notebook which would be on 24/7 anyway cos I use it to download stuff.

My main pc which I turn off at the end of everyday is the one you see specced in my sig-image :)

yea, but I don't want to create another account, I just want to use the one I have now. :)

I think the client does some system check, so you can't just run the client on another machine and expect it to work, hehe. ******s! ;)

nope, no problem with firewall or internet connection..

I'll probably just create another username, I'll see.. I have a couple of machines that I have to decide which one to use.. maybe my linux box.

Of course, you can't have 2 computers logging into the same UpT account simultaneously... haven't tried it myself but I'm guessing it shouldn't work.

Altough, if you want to move from PCa to PCb then I guess it should be just a case of don't login to the client thru PCa for a while and then just fire it up on PCb... yes/no?

well, I wasn't trying to log on simulataneously.. I turned off the client on my current rig and tried to run it on another rig, but I got some german message that I couldn't understand.

but I guess I might have to wait a few days before logging.. maybe that idea will work, I'll give it a try! :)

you cannot use one username that u used on one computer and switch it to another computer. once a username is logged in with one computer, that username is permanent for that computer. to use the uptime on another computer, you have to have another username.

EDIT: lol i hope thats not hard to understand

Thats the downside to this uptime project is that you can only have 1 computer per acc there where some older projects that allowed u to have multiple computers per an acc. I've only put 1 of my computer on there, my main windows server, i also have a linux box and another windows box which is my main machine. Both have low uptime, Linux because of new kernel and main box because i reboot it at least once to twice a week.

"An invalid Uptime was transferred. That means it that the transferred Uptime overlaps with previous Uptimes or completely from the calculated framework falls. The problem can occur, if an account became to transfer another PC on several PCS used will/up or e.g. by the Standby mode the Uptime any longer correctly did not run along.

If that is not the case, then the problem is repaired by a Reboot of the system."

    • WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
