Norman Bates is thisclose to fulfilling his destiny.

A&E has released the first promo for the upcoming third season of Bates Motel, in which Norman (Freddie Highmore) follows in the footsteps of his Psycho predecessor and spies on new tenant Annika Johnson (Tracy Spiridakos). Will she end up being Norman?s shower victim? Highmore did tease an upcoming incident that throws suspicion back on Norman in season three.

This is such an excellently produced show... there is a lot to gamble with, and they nail almost every point. The writing, directing, acting... all superb, and they pull off a great balance between retaining the classic 50s look with a modern environment. The B story with Dylan and the pot farming is a necessary distraction, but I can't wait for season 3. Vera Farmiga is perfect.
