Funny you should say that.

I did a reformat 2 days ago and ran the full Jan AP on it and I walked away for a min then came back to see it had rebooted.

It corrupted my system because I couldn't get into safemode either.

It would bluescreen everytime just before the blue bar goes across the boot screen then it would reboot again.

I had to do a repair then run it again.

It ran OK the second time though.

I couldn't get the BSOD info as it automatically rebooted.

I know this isnt much use now but I thought I would mention it anyway.

i had BSODs too on my second PC during AutoPatcher installation... but it was because of defective RAM :(... After i took out one of the RAM sticks, everything would rock :)

/Raptor

Same here... I've never had a BSOD with the AP, but one of my testers did, and it ended up bein' bad RAM as well... he never noticed until the AP was run, and upon swappin' it out, turned out it was the issue. The AP is almost like an OS install, if something is wrong with your hardware... you'll find out (I found out one system had an overheatin' issue when I ran it at a client site).

You going to add slicing, dicing and the ability to make julianne fries in the March edition? If I see you guys on late night TV with the RonCo guy, Im not downloading AP again.

Well, I guess I can let you in on our little secret then... Turn on Channel 24 at 2:00 am CST...

Quick suggestion, I have been through a few of the pages in this thread but gave up after 15 or so, so apologies if this has been asked ...

Is there a way of adding options to remove games etc from windows, its just a pain to have to go into control panel every reinstall and delete them, as well as cursors would be great. I ask as I see theres an option to remove the wallpapers, so this seems a natural progression. While at it, don't know if its possible, but can Outlook Express also be removed with autopatcher as thats another I always remove on clean install :)

Thanks for listening .. erm .. reading :)

Sure, I can do it... :) (Y)

FlishFun did actually think of it, but he agreed to pay me ?1000 to request the addition in this forum, for the banking details to xfer the money to me FlishFun just PM me:DD

He only agreed to the monies due to the extra sponsorship he has gained from RonCo etal:pp

Back to seriousness though, its just the few things I thought should be included after using it:)) ... but thats why the app. is so great, everyone does things differently, and so little things like that can be missed:)) ... Damn I just talked myself out of the grand FlishFun was gonna pay:))

:D

Ever wondered why all the hard work th AP team puts in is worth the effort it only took 4 days to patch and install

75mb of drivers on a 100+ new laptops with 0% bandwidth useage!!!!!!!!

Last rollout took 14 days for same task.

The possibiltes ar staggering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • My wish list is: A trailer for Final Fantasy VII part 3 and a proper look at Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Not happening, but I'd kill for would be another game of any genre in the Frostpunk world and another game in the Detroit: Become Human world.
    • I tried Wino-Mail and had the same issue with it that I have with New Outlook: My two centurylink.net email accounts (one of which is my primary email account) refuse to work with either one, and sometimes refuse to even log in, even though ALL the relevant information is accurate. Thunderbird does not have this problem, so I'll stick with what works, thank you.
    • For me it has everything feature wise that I want. But boy the app sucks big time. This and Teams. Ever since they made the transition to WebView it has been slow AF. I mostly use both apps in the browser now because of too much memory being used by these 2 apps. Hoping that native versions are being worked upon.
    • Nearly 70% of Steam users now run Windows 11 by Taras Buria The May 2026 Steam Hardware & Software Survey results are now available on the official Steam website, showing Windows 11's continuous growth among the gaming audience. As of early June 2026, nearly 70% of all participants reported having a Windows 11-powered PC, while Windows 10's market share is steadily declining. According to Valve, in May 2026, Windows 11 increased its market share to 69.76% (+2.02 points), while Windows 10 dropped to 23.99% (-1.64 points). 64-bit Windows 7 is still showing up in Valve's reports, and apparently, about 0.07% of all survey participants still use the 17-year-old operating system. Valve no longer updates its client for Windows 7, but it still can access the platform, so the Windows 7 holdouts can stay away from newer Windows versions. Overall, 93.85% of all users run Windows (+0.38 points), while Linux is second with 3.99% (-0.53 points). macOS is third with at 2.16% (+0.15 points). The most popular Linux flavor is Arch Linux (0.35%), while macOS 26.4.1 is currently the dominant macOS release. On the hardware side, the most popular picks include an Intel processor (53.94% against AMD's 46.06%) with six cores (28.02%, -0.6 points), 16 GB of memory (41.14%, -0.28 points), and an NVIDIA graphics card (72.42%, with AMD having 19.13% and Intel 8.05%). The most popular graphics card on Steam is the desktop NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (3.85%, -0.14 points), while the laptop RTX 4060 is second with 3.77%, and the RTX 3050 is third with 3.10%. The average amount of VRAM is 8GB (25.89%), and the dominant display resolution is the classic 1920x1080 pixels (51.89%, -0.32 points). As usual, you can find more details from the latest survey on the official website. The results for April 2026 are available here.
