Dell Venue 8 7000

Has anyone picked up the new Dell Venue 8 7000 yet? I'm looking to pick up a higher end Android tablet and the Dell looks competitive with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.

I played with one for a few minutes at Best Buy the other day. The build quality felt impressive, and it was extremely thin and felt nice in the hand, but there are two things that bother me about it. The asymmetric bezels bother the heck out of me, and it's still running KitKat (for now). For that price, I'd probably choose the Nexus 9.

Starting price of $399 is just too much for a dell Android Tablet which means possible not further upgrades in the future. If I am going to spend $399, I rather go for Samsung, Nexus or even the iPad Mini... Brands that will always have further OS / Firmware upgrades.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll take a good look at the Samsung and Nexus before I buy.
