LC-39 Observation Gantry

LC-39 Observation Gantry offers a premium, up-close view of the rocket on the launch pad and during lift off. Just 3.4 miles away from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, guests can feel the force of the launch and hear the roar of the engines. This area features lawn and bleacher seating and live launch commentary. The package includes launch transportation, a light snack and a souvenir t-shirt. Apollo/Saturn V Center

This special viewing location is 6.2 miles from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station launch pad. The viewing area features an open lawn and bleacher section overlooking the scenic Banana River and live launch commentary. Launch Transportation Tickets to Apollo/Saturn V Center are available for $20 in addition to daily admission, multiday pass or annual pass.

They weren't about to let the weather stop them, or some dodgy tank. Gotta hand it to SpaceX -- from the Managers on down to the people working the Pad. They get the job done. :)

5 launches in 107 days, an average turnaround of 21.4 days with the CRS-6 to TurkmenAlem gap just 13 days.

Whew!

Next stop: Dragon 2 pad abort on May 5, and it will be webcast by NASA TV and SpaceX.

They're hitting their full stride now. :)

 

The Abort tests are incoming. There's plenty going on inside the factory, and the construction work at the Cape and elsewhere is in full swing too. Busy year for them. :yes:

Makes you wonder how they celebrate each successful mission.

 

I'm thinking it's more than just the obligatory 'Get back to work!', with the whole clipboard on the hip thing.  :laugh:

That's great. They certainly earn a bit of time to let their hair down and relax a little. Enjoy the victories!

 

Next up is the Dragon V2 Pad Abort Test in one week. :)
