I liked the first episode, cant wait to see where this goes. FYI USA put the pilot out.

I am cautious of liking shows based on pilots. Pilots are meant to be good as they are often meant to attract full season pick-ups. Likewise, I am wary of shows with Slater in them: his last chunky assignment was Breaking In and that did not fare well. However, the premise of this one appears to be good and USA does have a reputation to uphold, so I am cautiously optimistic.

Slater's Mind Games was after Breaking In and that didn't last either.

  • 3 weeks later...

Fight Club meets The Matrix :D

  • A gifted hacker with Autism spectrum disorder (Aspergers by the looks of it) and/or possible schizophrenia.
  • Gifted hacker uses gift for good by catching paedophiles.
  • Hot school friend who is the only normal/cool/person who understands him.
  • Hot school friend has ###### boyfriend who cheats with a girl who isn't as hot, gifted hacker knows but does not tell her.

This show has it all!

Where can one UK based gents partake in a watch?

Usual UK approach: let's wait it out to see if it's good or not and then we MAY bring it over. If it's not Game of Thrones or something similar, you tend to wait months (if not year+). Dave shows Suits, which is another USA Network show, so they may pick it up eventually, but TBD.

Wait, is this is the thing they've been broadcasting all over twitch.tv for the last week or so?

Edit: And I answer my own question. It is..

Interesting promotion for the show. I knew about the show but I never put the two together until now.

Just watched the pilot and I enjoyed it.

I have a few worries though. If they get too...techy I can see the show not making it very long with people losing interest when they start talking about things like which version of linux they're running.

They have to tread carefully there.

The whole "what version of linux they are running" wasmost likely put in there for the tech's, The show does offer a good balance so almost any one can understand what is going on, given all the cyber crime that is in the main stream news these days.  Would you rather the show turn into a "2 idiots one keyboard" type thing becuse that would be a very bad move for what this show is about. As long as they keep things realistic like how the hacks are carried out as in some of the CSI cyber shows I thnk MR Robot will get at leaset 2 series,

I never said they couldn't have their moments where they totally nerd it up and talk about linux.

Just sayin they need to tread carefully. If they go too far in that direction it's only going to appeal to a certain limited amount of people.

    • Regarding the AI photo, I LOVE AI in that regard, you ask it what you want and it gives you a lovey photo in under a minute, that would taken me an hour to make in photoshop and it wouldn't have looked nearly as good. 2 nights ago I spent a couple hours collaborating with AI.  I did not say write me an article. I would write one or 2  paragraphs, then I would ask it to clean it up so it read better but still keeps the information I was trying to convey.  Rinse repeat.
